Morris Claiborne. He is considered the most natural cover corner since champ Bailey. He once proved he could match his pro day #'s fully padded. He is in Dallas with no leadership or work ethic and a laid back offensive minded coach. Anybody who played with or against him said he was better than Patrick Peterson.

Samari Rolle said he was the best he has seen since young Champ Bailey and himself. Revis is turning 30 and no shutdown corner is the same player after 30. That doesn't mean Revis won't be good, he will. And maybe even still in the pro bowl conversation. However he might not be the lockdown beast of 2008-2012. Good coaching and work ethic should help him reach his max potential. The word is Dallas is willing to trade him for a round 2-3 pick or decent young corner and a Round4. If bill can get him playing to his max he and Revis could really allow some fire and brimstone blitzes because he can turn and run with anybody after pressing. Also he could be the lockdown cornerback for years to come after Revis gets older. He is what makes Bill great. Coaching this guy up on his craft and discipline and hard work ethic and infusing an expect to win attitude with that swagger it takes to lockdown opposing WRs. Bill and his staff I know can get him playing like he is capable.

Can he pass block?

I would prefer he focus on developing the players we have here – Dobson, Harmon, Ryan, Wilson, Boyce, Thompkins, Ridley, Solder, etc. since they seem to regressing more than progressing in recent years.

Also I do not know that there is anything to fix with Claiborne, I did not think he was a very good pick in 2012, and I am not surprised to see him bust.

unless he plays guard or tackle and to a lesser extent OLB we have other more important needs.

Can he fix that contract?

big combine numbers does not = great NFL player just gets them a better rookie check the guy is a #4 CB at best I would not trade any more then a 5th for him

He isn't just combine stats. His college tape is the best since champ Bailey. And I know there are more pressing needs right now but you always explore potential blue chip talent. That's why best player available is so popular. Hypothetically its 2007 you need a WR and a guard. You have 2 good solid near pro bowl level talents at cornerback. Revis slips to #23, do you pick Revis or the need in Bowe and Ben Grubb. They are players who will be in the pro bowl conservation but Revis is likely to be most talented dominant cornerback since young Champ Bailey,Charles Woodson.

I would definitely trade a Round2 pick right now for a very good guard or tackle before a cornerback. However if there are no guards available it wouldn't hurt to try and add a blue chip talent at cornerback,WR,DT or LB. However I agree OLine and WR are the teams priority.

I wouldn't make that trade.

Even though Revis may leave next year (or he may not), we probably will remain with Ryan, Dennard and Browner (And butler maybe?), plus whatever FA we can get. It's a well stocked group and honestly i think both Dennard and Ryan can be good #1 (Not elite or anything like that). So, i don't think we should spend another pick on a CB, given other areas of need.

Seriously, WTF????

If Revis leaves, I would still be fine with Ryan, Dennard, Browner and Arrington as my CB's plus a rookie or Malcolm Butler if he improves with experience.

Trying to save Morris Claiborne's career is like growing a third nipple.

While I agree with you on Claiborne, that CB roster wouldn't cut it.

Man we need to trade for a pass rusher , ninkovich and jones are playing 100% snaps again

Seems like he's competing for the dime back role with Sterling Moore and Moore is playing better.

I like Moore, but that's a pretty low rung.

well, every ship's ladder extends below the water line...this is what he needs, like he's drowning in a sea of failure on this ship we take through life...he must use all his energy and breathe deep...jump for that next rung!...pull yourself out of the storm tossed waves in this ocean of broken dreams...YOU CAN DO IT,MORRIS!

Remember Bill fixed Talib. If it weren't for injuries he was in DPOY conversation and got a sweet contract. Morris Claiborne is far more talented than Talib. He has more talent than Peterson, ask anybody who played with or against him at LSU. I know the ravens are interested already and they already got Cary Williams playing at a pro bowl level. Everybody thought he was just a dime cornerback and special teamer. Claiborne is far more talented than he is as well. If somebody is to get him playing trying I would want the patriots. It happens, the packers got Woodson playing after every team thought he lost his talent, desire, and edge.

I think elite talent is important. Especially with athletes getting bigger and faster all the time. Try hards can't create talent as we are finding out with the OLine. I like players with elite ceilings. You can't coach extra talent into a player. They can maximize their talent by hard work and optimizing their speed power flexibility, craft but Edelman will never be AJ Green. Connolly will never be Carl Nicks, Mark Sanchez will never be Tom Brady. All you can do is find the players that have it and find a way to get them to play. You coach them up,show them how good winning feels, infuse them with work ethic and attention to their craft and they will develop that swagger and confidence and maybe even ****yness. Once they feel the euphoria of being better than the guy across from him that's trying to show him up and what its like being part of a winning team you have a player. You can't replace top talent, you just get them to play and great coaches like Bill are already halfway there. They are part of a winning football team. Many thought Pete Carroll was taking a pop shot at the patriots when he made a statement. When you can find players as talented as we are you don't have to use exotic formations or try to confuse your opponent, we just line up and kick their ***.

Mark Sanchez and Tom Brady...I don't think that's the comparison you were looking for sport. By your standing, Tom Brady (sixth round pick, junk measurables) skills never have been in Mark Sanchez' (first round pick if I'm not mistaken) league.

As far as finding players and coaching them up? Retiree, coach Dante, was the best. He continually took what many would call "the dregs," or in your case "those without elite talent," and continually forged a cohesive and effective offensive line. Now we have a jets cast off insisting Devey is a starter...

What happened to your KT love affair? I thought he was faster and more explosive than ever? I thought he was the next AJ Green? That's why he was a game day inactive(last week) to some guy with a broken foot who isn't really ready yet right?

That mediocre talent cohesive unit worked against other teams fronting dregs but was blown apart in the Superbowl. Almost always comes down to talent.

KT is much faster and quicker in his breaks than coming out he was at the combine. Dobson still being injured is fan speculation. He like the rest of the offense is not in sync. And i never said he is a surefire star. They dont have a WR many consider surefire star.Hasn't looked to bad against bad teams but wait til they play the Bengals and Broncos and really see how bad they are. Unless they fix the oline then get in sync. Which won't happen with Devey or Wendell or Connolly. No anchor on the oline
