Tom Coughlin could be coaching for his job Sunday afternoon in Buffalo according to the New York Daily News.

That's the reason they didn't offer Coughlin a contract extension when the team was 9-4 and needed just one win to clinch a third straight playoff berth, according to multiple team sources. As one said, "You just never know" what will happen in the last few games of the year.

Toasted or not Toasted ?

The Camp Coughlin effect rears its ugly head once again.

Let's hope they win and he keeps the job.... Don't want the Giants to have anything to play for in week 16.

I was listening to WFAN yesterday, and all the Giant talk... I think unless they make it to the NFC Championship he gets fired (which is next to impossible with their roster).

They need a change, I would lay my money on him getting fired, even if they make the playoffs.

Coughlin should walk away from that circus A.S.A.P. He deserves better than what that franchise has become.

coughlin it seems has been coaching for his job for quite some time now. they just wont fire his incompetant ass.

I want us to ruin both Mannings. keep Eli from making the playoffs and knock peyton out of the playoffs. that would be nice

The buffy problem lays more in front office than in current coaching dept.

Front office are the ones who saddled him with loserman and shipped off his best rb.

Coughlin hasn't even been there long has he? what 2 seasons ? Unless you are completely inept like what's his name in atlanta you generally get at least 3 years especially if you get better from year to year as they have so far.

Chris Russo had Ernie Accorsi on today and he was saying that Coughlin would be coaching hard to prevent the perfect season regardless of the need to get to the playoffs. Chris has been disagreeing since Ernie left.

Coughlin has been Giants HC starting in the 2004 season, so this (2007) is his 4th season there.

coughlin is on very thin ice right now, even with a win vs buffalo... the giants are expected to have a great season entering this year... and with beef against strahan among others... coughlin is not making a good case for himself...

Coughlin will keep his job.He has Elii Manning who is unstoppable,
unstoppable I tell you.

Accorsi is responsible for killing the Giants. He was a horrendous GM who made the Herschel Walker trade of this generation (the only one that stands up to it is the Mike Vick trade, but even Vick got the Falcons to a NFC Championship Game), and put together a team and coaching staff with the worst mishmash of personalities on the planet.

Just an interesting thread to bump back from the dead - Some here have to have a dose of crow

Umm, way to kick people when they are down. Nice.

They did seem to have Camp Coughlin effect injuries, but they got some key rookie contributions in the Super Bowl. Rookie Jay Alford had something like 2 games active and 1 tackle in his career before Sunday night.
