Here we use observations of reported infection within China, in conjunction with mobility data, a networked dynamic metapopulation model and Bayesian inference, to infer critical epidemiological characteristics associated with SARS-CoV2, including the fraction of undocumented infections and their contagiousness. We estimate 86% of all infections were undocumented (95% CI: [82%–90%]) prior to 23 January 2020 travel restrictions. Per person, the transmission rate of undocumented infections was 55% of documented infections ([46%–62%]), yet, due to their greater numbers, undocumented infections were the infection source for 79% of documented cases.

So we're just seeing the tip of the iceberg with the official numbers (and keep in mind this is using months of Chinese data and by that point their testing capacity far outpaced our own). That's good in some ways because most of those people are likely mildly symptomatic or asymptomatic (and those people are likely less infectious than those who end up reporting for testing), but also bad because the fact they're mildly symptomatic doesn't mean a person who catches it from them will be.

What would it mean if he continued to behave this way? No macho, no insecurity screaming through his body language, no distortions, no need to control a false narrative. Little affect, not much tonality to his voice. Just says what he's told to say and quietly finishes up.

How would we interpret that? Is he just too exhausted at this point? Overly despairing? All that raging at people has got to eventually empty a person.

If we see more performances like this, bring on the shrinks for interpretations, please.
