Face it. Football isn't happening this year, or if it does, it will be with a truncated schedule and reduced or no fans. :(
Some days ago i mentioned allready it as a possibility...considering we are allready middle march

CNBC:
President Donald Trump said Monday that the U.S. may be able to get the new coronavirus outbreak under control by July or August at the earliest.

Trump, speaking to reporters in the White House briefing room, also said his administration may look at lockdowns for “certain areas” or “hot spots” in the nation. But the president said he wasn’t considering a full national lockdown. “At this moment, no, we’re not,” Trump said.

If I were in the Trump campaign, US based or overseas, that's exactly the kind of posting I'd put up as a way to keep the base outraged, and feed the beast at Fox.

And if you think I'm being outrageous to suggest that's what they are doing, you've been had.
There might some fake accounts out there doing that, but I highly doubt those accounts all have 600-1,200 followers with pictures of them traveling to exotic places. Do you really think that there aren’t people out there who feel that way? You realize that there are quite a few people out there who vote Democrat who are idiots as well, correct? Both sides have their fair share.

Completely clueless statement to make when even the WHO and top health officials have said they have no idea.

People have to understand that he's a pathological liar who is just not going to stop lying, whatsoever. A leopard does not change its spots.

He's the last person on Earth who should be quoted, relied upon, or even listened to.

I have a manager who said that the virus is a ploy to discredit Trump he honest to God Believes it horrifying to say the least.

Like talking to a member of Jim Jones's cult. They'll drink his kool-aid right to the end.

Nope. All women and democrats are transcendent beings only capable of goodness

It worked in 2008 because that was a crisis of a completely different nature; staunching the housing bubble that had burst.

This crisis, on the other hand, is a marathon, not a sprint. These short term "injections" will do absolutely nothing to stabilize the market, as you will see.

I didn't say it would work, I was just outlining that the repo market is far more important than you were giving it credit for. Even with the actions the Fed took in 2008, there's still a debate about the long term impact it had.

In fact, I oppose these kind of measures because of the unintended consequences and market distortions that they create. The Fed's quantitative easing since 2008 has played a large role in the increased volatility of the repo market, and has made it very fragile. The Fed has intervened in the repo market on several occasions, prior to this current downturn as a result of the virus. All of those asset purchases and long term refinancing moves by the Fed decreased the banks' demand for short term funding, and it's why they have had to intervene to stabilize it. The Fed was trying to fix an issue it caused, and now the virus has made the situation even worse.

I think this is the correct move:

Here's a bit of information that likely will come as a shock to you: Trump's latest travel ban targeting Europe is an empty PR stunt to make it appear that he's doing "something" but accomplishes nothing. N-O-T-H-I-N-G. Of course, his gullible followers see it as Big Orange Daddy protecting us from them damn dirty diseased foreigners.
I don’t even like Trump (any more) so your ad-Homs don’t work.

And I agree, it did nothing. It needs to be a total shutdown. Even extremely liberal Canada has shut down their borders to non-citizens.

US citizens allowed across the border.

I don't recall directing any "ad-homs" at you, but if we agree on something I suppose that's OK.
