Congrats to Brian Flores

He stole our coaches and some of our scheme and brought it to MIami. He is a treacherous bastard as far as I am concerned. There is no law in the universe that says that I am obligated to congratulate him. He can go rot in the darkest place in hell. He beat my team. I am a fan of the Patriots not the Dolphins. I have hated the Dolphins for years. His presence does not change my hate.

There is no rule that says he can't poach our coaches. You can hate the dolphins but still like and admire individual players and coaches.

Hating Flores because of poaching coaching staff lol
If they didn’t want to leave they wouldn’t have????
Upward mobility and all that, welcome to ****ing America
Go preach somewhere else. F him, and F you. Typical internet douchebag male bully. Pick on everyone who doesn't agree with your opinion. And pick on the women . They won't cuss you out.
Go to hell.

He didn’t “steal” anything. Every one of those coaches willingly decided to go to Miami. You should be asking yourself why they were willing to leave.

As for scheme, give me a break. Unless you’re going to be slamming Belichick for “stealing” some of his schemes from the Giants and Browns and bringing them here.

They all had expiring contracts and really like Flo.

OShea got a promotion. Shuplinski did as well

You guys need to hear BB's take on this, it probably will change your minds. Link: Belichick & Saban: The Art of Coaching

I have and I don't agree with BB.

O'Shea, Schuplinski and Boyer all had expiring contracts. If Bill wanted them he should have extended their deals or promoted them.

If they were under contract and offered lateral moves that different.

Sometimes I feel like my 12 nephew is more mature than some posters on here. “F Flores” and “cant congratulate the enemy”. Lol embarrassing.

How do you know BB wasn't in process of trying to keep them, or had plans already in place they agreed to? Or that Flores promised he'd be hands-off? You don't. But in general terms BB is 1,000-percent right. He put tons of work into grooming these guys from nobodies; to have one of them corral a whole crew en route to another job is disloyal to the max and devastating to an organization. Nothing is more important in coaching ranks at any level than loyalty to the head man. Flores owes everything to BB for where he is now and stabbed him in the back. It's not hard to understand.

He's already a great X's and O's coach and same with O'Shea, but it also looks like his players have bought in. You can tell how different those guys have played all year for him even with the lack of talent on that roster.

If he gets a franchise QB, we could be f*ck3d.

He put his time in here, seemed like a good guy from what players in the Pats locker room have said, and has paid his respects ad nauseam to Bill and the organization.

Congrats to him.

Excuse me? I understand it perfectly and you are coming off as you have insights into the behind the scenes situation and you don't.

The fact is they were without contracts for 2020. They needed a job. They have families and they felt their career path was better at MIA.

Loyalty is a two-way street.

I don't recall anything about those coaches being told they were out as Pats employees, you seem to be suggesting they were jobless. But if you truly understood the dynamics involved you wouldn't be disagreeing with the greatest football coach of all time.

There is a BIG difference between agreeing that Flores did a good job this year and congratulating him.

Why on earth do we need to congratulate him?

I do not begrudge him taking a HC job and possibly the only offer he had. But why would a patriots fan ever waste any time Congratulating an arch rival. We do not know him personally and he does not know us or care at all about whether we congratulate him.

The topic is kind of irrelevant.

Everybody knows he did a good job this year. Congratulating someone we do not know and is a rival is a waste of time and space on this board.

What they did is called taking ownership of their careers and their lives. Calling them wrong is an insult to them and their families.

Who the F are Saban, BB and you to imply that? You've got a lot of nerve.

Take you Patriots t-shirt off and act like a human.

I think I pulled a muscle in my eye after rolling it so hard after this post.

It's not the assistants who were wrong, it was Flores.

Is that like throwing a shoulder out patting yourself on the back?

I don't see it that way either.

Moving on.

Nothing wrong with congratulating the opponent ... happens in the NBA every game.

Have to give him some points for the win he got the tactics correct........oh and the plus side , we may learn from this ??

What Flores and the assistants did is well within the rules but could certainly be construed as in poor taste. Am not sure if this was the situation that BB was referencing in his documentary but I could understand his feelings when one of his coaches poaches a handful of assistants that he had groomed then heads off to a division rival. Maybe BB has done the same thing himself in the past and it is just sour grapes but playing against his prior inner circle has certainly cost the team some wins. The Dolphins seemed to know exactly what to expect most of the day and made great calls to counterbalance what the Pats were trying to do.
