Remember Breer's poll where certain NFL execs rated Luck the #2 QB in the league behind Rogers and ahead of Brady?

Good times ...
Chris Simms!! Who even this weekend said Brady was involved in deflating footballs.

40 yards with two picks. wonder what happens next week against denver.
woudlnt be surprised if they sit him at this point.

Well, it's not too late for IND to throw the season for this year's #1 pick, as they've only won 3 games. However, they would have to hope TEN wins a few more games, as they are 1-6. However, they could call bad plays when they play them next time and insure that TEN wins at least 1 more game. So, that #1 is still a possibility.

So kinda OT but I am curious.

Right now what are some thoughts some of you have on the NFC?

GB sure looked mortal and Carolina has hardly been impressive to me this game THB.

AZ and Atlanta are interesting but IDK... Maybe the Seahawks make a push but that OL is a disaster.

Take away that INT and that garbage time TD when the defense was only rushing 3 and it was a 34-13 game (probably 41-13 without the gift INT) and outside the garbage time drive the colts moved the ball about 50 yards in the 2nd half.

Yep.
Further, trying to make the equation of A played B close, but B got whipped by C, this means C is as good or better than A is a fool's errand. Too many variable to draw this kind of conclusion...

Maybe luck is injured. Maybe he just kinda sucks. Who knows, really.

You have to admit Cam Newton is pretty capable QB. He can complete some throws, he is a big strong guy that can take hits that would make me cringe seeing Brady take, and he can produce yards/scores with his legs. He is clearly, IMHO< the best of the crop of new QBs that combine running/passing versus the prlific pocket passer.
However I don't think he is a QB that can put his team on his back and this is why you will see Carolina peak and valley over Cam's career. The teams that have that QB that can put his team on his back are the teams that will usually be in that small group of teams that is always vying for the SB.

Wait... Are you serious? He is the main reason Carolina won't succeed. Take away Rowboat Rivera's defense and the team is no better than the jags.

As an aside to the Colts implosion, I like this Panthers team. Formidable. If they beat the reeling Packers next week, hoo boy.

When did luck start sucking? Maybe there is something to those injuries. This is just mind boggling.
Around the time that Indy decided the answer to oline and rb problems were retread wrs and rbs.

Kid's dinged up and getting pummeled.

No, I dont have that opinion. Guy doesnt study, cant accuately pass, doesnt work on his mechanics , because hes perfect in his head, and has no football intelligence. Hes a glorified running LB with a huge ego, little leadership, who passes as an option, and will never amout to anything.

Come on, don't hold back. Tell me how you really feel...

1o mins left in the game down 23-6 and they are handing of gore. Sure we know you cant win this but not even trying ? soft.

to late luck

Well they certainly are not bad. I like their D a lot but I feel like plays are there to be made. Also this offense seems so high school like. I would think with Collins/Hightower a lot of the runs and QB runs won't work. Also I don't think their #2 CB is anything that special TBH.

Are opposing defense having ribs for their pre-game meal before they play IND?

Panthers are ahead enough. Garbage time Luck might make an appearance.

Watch Indy beat Denver next week.

The only way I can foresee that happening is if they bench Luck for Hasselbeck, but Hasselbeck, being infected with the virus that causes people to turn into the Walking Dead, infects the team and turns them all into Walkers, who then go out and "devour" the Broncos.

Now THAT would be must-see-TV.

(Sorry for all the Walking Dead references, but I just caught up on the Series after being severely behind.)

My take on the NFC is this:

There aren't the "great" teams, like there are in the AFC, but there a lot more average teams - and average teams can sometimes beat good teams.

The AFC is very top-heavy, and there is a lot of dog crap settled in the bottom of that conference.
