Don't laugh me off the forum but Benny brown isn't terrible.. he would be nice to keep around for back up duties. Sadly he's probably the best of the worst on the line.wouldn't mind finding a vet like Mike Compton to bring in... if any are available
Yeah.. with OL it's very difficult becuase all the average to good OL are all signed up.. It's appears unless something happens that we are hitting the draft in search of those guys. We need a steady, Matt light type LT for Drake.I'm still familiarizing myself with who might be available in FA and/or trade for 2025. At present, I'm not sure.
Got no problem with keeping him, running him thru camp ... Hes not a starter, but He's earned a shot at being a swing g/c... plus he's an exclusive rights free agent next year... Cheap to keep, as it wereDon't laugh me off the forum but Benny brown isn't terrible.. he would be nice to keep around for back up duties. Sadly he's probably the best of the worst on the line.
where have you goneIt seems like those players don’t exist anymore. They are either really good or really bad.
How about Brian Waters in 2011? Granted, he wouldn't have gone there had they not been a contender. What a great signing that was. I just watched highlights from a 2011 game and he really jumped off the screen in some plays. I've always been a fan of his since KC clearing out holes for Priest Holmes. He was also an excellent pass blocker.where have you goneJoe DiMaggioRuss Hochstein
To your point... Bobby Hamilton and Otis Smith ... 2000 ... Straight from the jets...This is an example of how BB's connection to NY Jets got many of those players to join him in New England. Mayo doesn't have these connections to recruit.
If nothing more, I want to see if he's truly worth keeping beyond this season. That'll give us an idea if we need even more OL players than we know that we already need.
He played everywhere, on one leg, spittin' blood and holding on for dear life. Best of times.where have you goneJoe DiMaggioRuss Hochstein
Duly noted ??!!!..Strange Working Exclusively at Center
"Offensive line coach Scott Peters said Strange, who was drafted in 2022 to play guard, has been working exclusively at center since returning to practice, while Wallace is focused on right tackle. Peters wouldn’t say when he expects those players to return, but noted both are progressing."

So many quality veterans... Be one hell of a list to put together
Mayo has no cache... Needs about 5 more years as a bona fide DC before being ready to take on his current role
Mayo's got no connection as a coach. As as a former player he's highly respected throughout the league. However it's ending badly for him.. hard to see him back especially with losing out the rest of the season. I think he should just be given a position in the front office. How about Brian Waters in 2011? Granted, he wouldn't have gone there had they not been a contender. What a great signing that was. Compton was such an under the radar signing. Also, guys like Brian Cox, Roman Phifer, Terrell Buckley and Anthony Pleasant aren't available anymore. The drop off in quality of players is glaring these days. This is an example of how BB's connection to NY Jets got many of those players to join him in New England. Given the overall quality of OL play all season I’m not sure how I feel about Peters undertaking the conversion of Strange from guard to center.Strange Working Exclusively at Center

Shame on Peters for not being able to coach up the worst talented OL in the NFL, and one that had lots of injuries.Given the overall quality of OL play all season I’m not sure how I feel about Peters undertaking the conversion of Strange from guard to center.

When the OL makes mistakes in games, then repeats them in the next game, and the coaches don’t fix it by either eliminating mistakes or playing players that don’t make those mistakes, yes shame on those coaches.Shame on Peters for not being able to coach up the worst talented OL in the NFL, and one that had lots of injuries.
