The award should be changed to the:

"Coach of a team with the best record not name Bill Belichick award"

Ray Lewis killed 2 guys.

Usually, hockey gets it somewhat right.
I know the Jack adams award is still just for whichever coach had their team overperform

The Goat Coach doesn't need the award. If it was a real award he would of won it more than he has.

Doug Marone deserves recognition. BB is the coach of the year.

Yep. That's the one that I thought of when I qualified it with "somewhat".

I'm in favor of renaming it the Bill Belichick Coach of the Year Award. Many non-Pats fans I talk to agree.

unfortunately when you win 12-15 games EVERY year people kind of get numb to it, and so guys like marrone end up winning coach of the year for taking a team from **** and polishing it till its shiny, even if it still has a bit of a smell to it.

How is ray Lewis not in jail?

And why on earth did showtime hire a mass murdered to be on their show?

He sucks so bad, he makes worthless Brandon Marshall look good!!!!

The irony is that BB will probably never win again considering the success he's had, . He's coached us to number of successful seasons but there's always one team that shows tremendous improvement from previous year. NFL likes an underdog.

That said, Mike Zimmer has done an excellent job with Vikings this season. He's coached that team to NFCCG and a 3rd string QB. I think he deserves it.

BB is the best coach EVERY YEAR, he is head and shoulders above any other coach in the league.

Because of the high level his team attains EVERY year, he will never get the award.

There are a number of coach's who turned around franchises this year. Pederson getting his team to the SB after losing his starting QB, Zimmer getting his team to the conference championship game with a 3rd string QB, McVeigh very young turning around a pathetic franchise and helping a top QB pick who was floundering, and figuring out how to utilize a great running back whose career was going sideways. Doug Marrone who got his team to the conference championship with a QB who is at best a journeyman and changing the culture of a franchise that had done nothing but lose.

They usually seem to lean toward first year guys, so it’ll probably be McVay. My vote would go to Pederson. To lose your franchise QB and still reach the Super Bowl is no small task.
