for the turn around on defense. B.B. should win this for that reason but I know he wont

Who are this Macveth & Peyton you speak of?

You, mosslost, PatriotFan87, and Chris Stevenson have been culture changers of this board the last few months.

You guys need an alliance of some sort

I was not serious. Only have one account.

While I think Belichick puts on a master class in coaching every season, and deserves the award, the media tends to prioritize big increases in performance. Pederson and McVay deserve credit for turning around their teams. The difference with the Rams, particularly, between Fisher and McVay is pretty incredible. Either coach would be a fine choice.

I voted Peyton because he's not a coach and wasn't in football last year. And oh yeah, he had no votes.

Payton might deserve a nod for getting Brees a defense that can help win games.

Formula for coach of the year:

-Be a coach in the range of bad, decent, or pretty good.
-Take over a team that won 3-4 games the previous year, or continue as the coach after you’ve proven to be a bad coach.
-Get really lucky, win a lot of close games, and have a season where your win total is a huge anomaly.
-Win Coach of the Year
-Continue your career by proving what a fluke year you had.

It’s like when KG arrived in Boston.

Is there any sport where the end of the year awards arent dumb?

Pretty good synopsis.

I’ll add that in the last 30 years only 2 coach of the year winners won that seasons super bowl.

Last 5 winners

Jason Garrett
Ron Rivera
Bruce Arians

Add:
- be perceived as a sympathetic or charismatic leader (add points for overcoming adversity, such as health issues, player injuries, or other challenges)

Is there any doubt? BB
