And even if the memo carried weight, how come the NFL ignored the "weight" of the memo when the Jets and Dolphins were caught videotaping the Patriots in 2006? (The memo actually came out in 2006, not 2007.)"Yes, the Patriots screwed up and ignored the 2007 memo saying that they could only do so from above and not on the sidelines. THAT IS THE ONLY THING THEY DID WRONG. IN 2007!!"
Isn't this a case of the memo carrying no weight, as a major change like this would have to go through the competition committee?
Prob married his sister tooFlorio is from West Virginia. It is no surprise he's an idiot.
Schematically, the Squealers played checkers and we played chess. As I recall, the main factor in beating those Steelers teams was shutting down their Offense and forcing costly mistakes. Knowing their defensive play calls, to whatever extent, is irrelevant to holding their offense in check.
It was a statement on the balance of power in the NFL hierarchy. Rules changes are supposed to be approved, not just announced.Oh come on, he figured he could continue to do it and not get in trouble not because he wanted to make a stand for the rights of everyone in the NFL.
Parity. That crap "gate" was always about the Poison Ginger and not us. He wanted to walk into the room and hit the biggest kid to show his authority, so he picked the Pats and kept riding that strategy until we stopped being a dynasty.
He did it because he figured getting cute with the wording of the memo would let him get away with it. Narrator: It didn't.Oh come on, he figured he could continue to do it and not get in trouble not because he wanted to make a stand for the rights of everyone in the NFL.

They run (ran) what they run and we did what it took to win.
Yep and they are too stupid and/or stubborn to realize their players were outplayed and their coaches out-coached.The Steelers were one of those "We do what we do" teams. That is, they felt that they were talented enough and executed so well, that opposing teams couldn't stop them even if they knew what was coming. Of course, once the Patriots stopped them in a key game, the attitude shifted to "Oh my god, it was like they knew what was coming. That's impossible!"
No kidding. Where is this coming from?Another off season Spygate click bait story.
We need clicks! Someone needs to write a story on Spygate.
The same place some of the inane off season threads here come from. Nothing to talk about. No kidding. Where is this coming from?
