BG likes to whine and moan about people "hijacking" threads about her baseball team in this forum, but she and others conveniently ignore the fact that it's downright RUDE to post them here in the first place -- "OT" or not. And before anyone chimes in about other OT subjects being tolerated in the Pats forum, keep in mind that the only OT threads occurring here with near daily regularity address Fenway's Desperate Housewives. So henceforth, in defense of the valid complaints posed by MoLewisrocks and Promisedland, and the fact that Ian constructed this board TO PREVENT THIS VERY CONFLICT FROM OCCURRING, you may consider each and every Boston baseball thread posted here subject to immediate "hijacking." IF YOU WANT TO POST ABOUT AND DISCUSS BASEBALL, THEN DO IT IN THE FORUM FOR WHICH IT IS INTENDED.

Which is precisely why certain folks post Red Sox threads on the main Patriots football board - for attention.

If you all really care so passionately I don't understand why there is so little activity on the actual baseball board Ian so graciously provided for your alternate sport ramblings. I am left to assume that reflects some bizarre blend of apathy and passion with you guys, only the passion is fueled as much by wanting a substantial audience to force your transient but oh so immediate need to talk baseball on - even if it's a group of football fans.

At the very least one would think you could adhere to the rules simply out of respect for Ian and the way he chose to set this board up. Choosing not to and/or defending those who persist in choosing not to (especially when you stoop to namecalling responses aimed at those who point to the rules) reflects the the more commonly occurring blend of arrogance and ignorance - which unfortunately is often the norm on internet message boards in general.

A couple of things......

1. I have NEVER started a Red Sox thread on this board.

2. The people that "hijack" the Sox threads DO NOT hijack threads about hockey playoffs, the NBA, NCAA BB, college football or various nekked/hot women threads!

That is simply my point, none of these people whine about anything else except baseball!

Ian, at one time, intended it that way, but now doesn't give a cr$p. Many of us have complained about it and written him about it, but having Sox fans here (and not caring to keep it in the Sox forum) posting about the Sox makes money for the site and it's a capitalist society. Ian's a good guy and I don't blame him for this, but it is what it is.
