What's with the NFC East and picking up the Pats' bust safeties. Merriweather "played" for the Redskins last year (in played I mean tearing his knee playing around in pre-game warm ups).

not surprised...chip kelly

Good riddance, so much for him being our next Rodney.

Another 2nd round stinkah, Cunningham is the next 2nd rounder out the door.

good luck philly...personal foul flags everywhere are headed to your city

Injured boarding the plane to Philadelphia.

Bob Kraft just took out an ad ...he's selling one of the tubs in the training room as it is no longer needed

Surprisingly fast pickup. I still think his shoulder is chronic, or maybe he just has Eugene wilsonitis *don't want to hit no more*. either way he's useless if all he has is his "cover skills".

He was actually good for Washington when he was healthy last year.

Shame it ended this way. He looked so promising in 2010. Seems like pats dbs' only get worse over the years.

I still find it hard to believe that people have so conveniently forgotten that Chung was arguably the best DB the Pats had in 2011, and was widely thought to be the Pats most likely DB to have a breakout year. So while no one can argue, that last season was a disaster for Chung, it might not mean he is a horrible player, and dismiss him out of hand. He still has plenty of time to rehab his career. Professional athletes sometimes have "bad years" and recover. Remember very few Charger fans lamented Rodney's departure from SD.

Chung always threw his body around with total abandon and gave his full effort when he was on the field. I'm sorry he didn't work out to everyone's expectations, but his had his movements. I wish him well with the Eagles

I find it particularly difficult to forgive him for the botched fake punt against the Jets and being late (as per usual) against the Giants on the Manningham long completion. Maligned yes, history of under performance of course. It was time to move on.

Amen. He was never good, because he couldn't cover, and now he's gone. I wish him well with his new team, but I won't miss his game at all.

Chung being the Patriots best DB in 2011 is not saying a lot at all, my friend. Not at all. He was still a below average player and should've developed a lot more by that point. And he wasn't the player most likely to have a breakout year, but the player who most needed one.

That should tell us something isn't it ?? The truth shall set you free
