Chiefs now vs. us then, is it the same?

They’re just that good. Watching their dynasty makes it easier due to our success before them. At least we got to win superbowls and enjoy our run. Imagine being a Bills fan? First Brady and then Mahomes.
Mahomes flops like a fish and gets the calls.

to me the league is pretty watered down right now.......the number of bottom dwelling teams is large, there's really only a small number of truly elite teams, and then a couple more just below them.....then a whole lot of mediocre, with a huge amount of garbage at the bottom.......i never remembered having soooo many truly bad teams in the league as there is right now

Biggest difference is Brady and the Patriots had to play through Manning/Colts, Steelers, Ravens. Pats fought wars before they got to the big game. Not cupcakes and questionable reffing. The funny thing is I’m questioning if there will be a bet/prop about having no holding calls vs Chiefs oline. Are we going to have Philly players being hugged while their hands are straight up in the air like Bosa and the 49ers last season while begging for the call? Thats how bad its become and I can’t believe people ignore it,

The negative public perception during our dynasty vs. the growing negative perception of the Chiefs dynasty.

Do you guys feel like this whole thing was any different with ours? I have to remember I saw our entire era through our biased lenses, but even with that that, this still feels different.

I get this feeling that the hate I have for them is more justified. It’s not just simply a “hating them for constantly winning” thing. The way they do it and the way they are everywhere in the media is pretty insufferable.

It felt like more fans were willing to credit us for what we accomplished. I feel like a much larger majority of fans really feel like the system is deliberately working in the Chiefs favor constantly. Is it just me thinking that?
The sports media seemed happy when the Pats won their 1st SB. It was post 9-11 and what is more appropriate than a team named the Patriots winning the SB?

I remember though, after our 2nd SB win, that even though they were lauding the Pats, I felt an undercurrent that the sports media was not really thrilled with the Pats winning.

Ultimately though, the league went after the Pats with bogus charges, and stripped them of high draft picks because other teams couldn’t beat the Pats on the field.

They certainly are better than the 2000s Patriots overall.

Those early 2000s defenses would have punished the queefs. Kelce would have retired 3 years ago if he had to go against them

Yup... Never forget that that whole inquisition was driven by the other owners in the league because of their petty jealousies ... And I can't prove it, don't have a luck of evidence but I think some of those same guys are pushing the hof to reject Kraft's bid for football immortality

These last 3 Chiefs teams would’ve been eliminated in the playoffs had they faced the early 2000’s teams or the 2010’s teams.

But them going 15-1 with this current team just shows how bad the NFL has become. Only one loss? Really? I’ve never seen a team like theirs regress, yet the rest of the NFL does the same.

They're more like a 12 win team without the refs.. I think if the league wasn't doing their bidding all season, they would have been playing in Buffalo yesterday and maybe a different outcome.

Not just receivers but also the QB. Somewhere there's a full five minutes reel of nothing but Brady getting absolutely crushed. Today, if someone dares to breath on Mahomes, it's a personal foul.

Someone just needs to put their big boy pants on and do it for ****s sake. One hit…all it will take to humble him. Not saying injure him…they let these qbs do whatever they want and they need to be checked. All there is to it.

They don't let Drake do what he wants. He's gotten injured at least twice running the ball and gets hit in the head or late and no flag.

IF they Threepeat we are going to be the Forgottens.

Super Bowl 52….I am in Vegas for the game. Stayed at Treasure Island….

The morning of the game, I walk into the lobby/casino and see a guy wearing a T-Shirt that reads, “Anybody but Brady”.

The Pats were hated more than any other team by general NFL fans. I have not seen any other team come close…except maybe the Cowboys in the mid-90s……

I don't really think so.. especially considering what the general football population thinks about the Chiefs and the refs, and the whole TSwift nonsense. The Pats will still look great in retrospect, regardless of KC's run. JMO

I do genuinely think we look much better in hindsight thanks to the Chiefs.

Main difference:

If Gisele had been caught face timing a ref and that ref's family, it'd have been considered cheating, a big scandal, followed by a massive witch hunt with docked picks and hefty fines along with a Brady suspension.

Of course, Taylor Swift did exactly that and it got swept under the rug. Imagine getting your kids/nephews/grandkids a private facetime session with Taylor Swift. It's straight up bribery.

That's the difference. We had to fight other teams and the league. They fight other teams with the league on their side.

True! During the regular season, there are a lot of games being played that are un watchable...
