Chicago Bears Defense this year

They've probably scored more on defense than the Jaguars and Chiefs have had on offense.....COMBINED.

the bears are not as good as their record

their offense is at most average, if we played against them, all we would need to do is double Marshall, and have the front 7 play against the run and Forte like they've been playing all season

Cutler would not be able to put any points up w/o a running game, and w/o marshall

as for their defense, best in the league by far, not even close to '85 bears level though

but i would take our offense over any defense in this league, so long as we dont shoot ourselves (and are healthy), we can put up a lot of points, no matter who is on the other side of the field

They're one Jay Cutler Hissyfit away from 8-8.

Which they lost, and Grossman lost his starting job a month in to the season the following year.

I see your point, but the league is a QB league now.

Off the topic but I heard someone say about Grossman.

He is RG3s backup, RG3 and out.:rocker:

Charles Tillman is playing completely out of his mind right now. The guy's crazy good.

Will be a must watch when the Bears play the Texans, i think the Bears win because Texans offense is not that good when Arian Foster has a bad day and the Bears run D is pretty good

Their defense is everything I wish our defense could be.

I'd love to play against the bears in the SB. We always match up and play against them well.

They have a very good defense and are a good team but the best team that they have beaten so far is the Colts. Let's see if they can win against a good team before we call them great.

They have zero shot as long as Cutler is their QB.

The last time I said that about a QB was when Jake Plummer ended TB's playoff winning streak at Mile High.
Cutler has a world of talent and now can play the role of a Trent Dilfer, except with skills.

they are a good team but the NFC playoffs are going to have some pretty good teams the 49ers the gaints the packers the falcons... i just cant see them makeing it to the SB

Its a matchup team , which plays the same style every game. If it meets a complex offensive unit they can be beat on defense .They rely on forcing fumbles and turnovers and any opposing coach who doesnt emphasize that during practice before they play the bears is not doing his job. without turnovers that tampa 2 will be torched by fast spread offenses .

yea, but that was one freaky ass game

Houston is going to Soldier field this week and going to beat Da Bears

I do expect a super exciting game,if you like defense

The Winning team may score 10

The thing about this Bears D is that it isn't a shut down defense. You can still put points on them. The thing is they are good at getting turnovers... for now. I still think the 49ers Defense is the class of the league. They've been so consistent week in and week out for 1.5 seasons now.

This is why the Bears are so good at forcing turnovers:

Tillman has seven of these so far these year. That's amazing technique, and it's definitely coached. The Bears are always good at this.

Listen to BB ever talk about lovie smith defense. Thats the biggest thing he emphasizes how much they are coached to force the ball out.
