Well, I for one feel bad for Chad. What he did with his wife was unforgivable, but....he's a likeable guy and I'm sorry that his career seems to be ending up this way. He's given me many a smile.

As someone who liked 85's antics as a Bengal, I had mixed feelings when we signed him fearing just what happened but rooting for the guy to succeed. It was embarrassing to watch him fail spectacularly here. Thought he might return to at least JAG WR status in MIA assuming someone there could throw a football but this has to be beyond deeply depressing to him as a person. I hope he has it within him to carry through this self-caused debacle. We just recently saw the ultimate downside that can happen when a once limelight player had to deal with post football relative obscurity. Chad's obsession with celebrity will have to face a huge adjustment.

Me too. As to this last incident, I'm not jumping on Chad's case just yet. There are always two sides to these issues, and I've seen more than one incident up here where the cops jump to conclusions based upon the female's comments only to later find out she was lying through her teeth.

You have a point. But the reality is that nearly all high profile athletes "spin" what we perceive of them. The top echelon have media advisors who script their words and looks.

Is the real Chad Johnson the showboater on the sidelines in a Canton jacket, the guy who tweeted his awe of the Pats offense early last year, the guy who blamed the constraints of the Patriots system for his lack of production, the guy who visits charities or the guy who headbutted his wife? He's probably actually "all of the above" and "none of the above."

That doesn't mean we don't believe in some of them as sincere, but we should always season what they say with a good sized grain of salt

I have to be honest here, my wife watches basketball wives while I read this website, play online games, and play fantasy football (I swear I don't pay attention).... but when I do pay attention, I am forced to observe the most violent woman I have even seen on television... Chad's wife. Whether it is for show or not, she is constantly 'throwing down" with damn near every person on that show. It would not surprise me one bit, if she was the one that headbutted Chad.

I'm sort of apathetic toward Chad. Boy you guys sure are clever with your play on words regarding his name and nickname though. Did you stay up all night thinking of such gems as hanging chad and oucho?

Chad did nothing when he was here, neither good nor bad, but effort was never the issue, so I have no animosity toward him. He also told his followers that the first 300 people to show up at X restaurant would be eating with him for free. Publicity stunt or not, nobody does stuff like that. Pair that with that crazy B he's married to and I say wait until the facts come out.

Albert, Adalius, and Randy are in a different column for me. Ocho should be classified with Pierre Woods as a player who just wasn't good, not a coward who dogs it and proudly collects a check. Chad took a paycut because he knew he sucked and wanted another chance. Randy wasn't getting another deal so we walked his routes.

I won't have any problem saying "I TOLD YA SO" on this one, considering that all season long he played like absolute garbage in NE, and yet so many fans in here were still in love with this clown's celebrity persona even though Chad totally screwed up the Patriots off season where it led to the Patriots management not getting a real upgrade at WR. All I heard were insults spewed at anyone who would call the spade a spade.

For the few fans in here that were knew all along what a waste Chad Johnson was to this franchise, good for you for not getting caught up in the whole Prima Donna act.

Patriots football is about hard workers who care about the team and about becoming one. Chad has never had a clue what means. Worst signing ever from the BB era.
