Mostly it's because the NBA has a decent commisioner (even though I hate Stern passionately), he took control of the thing and clamped it down tight. Like Rozelle would've done with the taping.

I have LONGED for a commissioner like David Stern. One who knows what he is doing and how to stay in control of a situation even if he is personally unlikeable.
