Celtics 2023 - 2024 Discussion

My 8 year old watched the 4th quarter with me last night…first time she’s actually paid attention and tried to follow the game. When she saw Porzingis shooting free throws she said “he’s so hot.” She’s 8! I was like “what do you mean” thinking maybe she was referring to him sweating. She said “he’s just a very handsome man.” Lol wtf!!!

Mine are much older and married with my grandkids. It all changes as they grow up. In the end, like everyone else, they marry their Mom or Dad.

Side note: With how good of a record the Celts have now they're only projected to a 63 win season. Crazy that 27 teams in history have finished better than that. The 2016 Warriors and 1996 Bulls are just PLAID speed.

Good win. Big Al another great game.
Team is coming together.
Difference between Celts and other contenders is their defense.
When they clamp down defensively, they're not losing
Can't wait for the Orlando game. Very tough team with size and kicked our asses last time. Measuring stick game

This has been a really good stretch of ball from Brown. His game has clearly evolved as he is a more than willing passer and is seemingly taking pride in doing so. You love to see it. I’ll take a small dip in scoring for enhanced playmaking.

Nice night for JT too, despite some shoddy three point selection. Now can we please beat the freaking Magic. They are seemingly our worst matchup in the entire league.

Also give props to Al. He might not be a big fan of coming off the bench but it is serving him well. He’s playing so good for his age.

Brown has stepped up his overall game lately. He has the tools.
Magic are no joke. Their size gives us problems. I knew Banchero was gonna be a heck of a player and he is.
Good to see Hauser finding his stroke again after a brief dip.

On paper, things don't look great for the C's via the injury report tonight.
Orlando has size.
Big AL is out.
Kornet is out.
KP is gtd
JB is gtd
Yikes!

ouch.... This one is going to be rough. But we get to see more of our bench matching up with a good team.

Derrick White is a top 30 player

Brown has been dominant for a few games.

This small lineup is very interesting…I wonder if the Celtics are onto something here against certain teams. I doubt many lineups can match this pace in a fast break oriented game.

Over 40 bench points tonight. JT/JB continuing to play very good ball during our best stretch of the season. If we got JB playing like this I’m feeling damn good about a championship run. Love to see it, things look like they are truly clicking.

He’s taking better shots and not forcing them. It’s encouraging.

He’s at his best when he’s driving to rim and using his mid-range game instead of taking 10 threes. Always loved his mid-range shooting, seemed to stray from it a bit last season.
Generally the midrange game has been phased out due to low efficiency but if you look at Brown’s midrange vs 3 point splits he is better off just sticking with his strength.

If not, then he's very close to it.
He's a heckuva player and has shined playing a larger role.
It seems most guys in his situation become less productive when they become key starters, as holes in their games are exposed. But Derrick really doesn't have any holes.
He has the best decision-making of any Celtic and that's saying a lot.
He's the kind of offensive player I'd hate guarding because of his footwork. You never know which foot he's gonna shoot off.

The tweet I posted before that didn’t come through…
