Celtics 2023 - 2024 Discussion

What are we doing at the 5? Porzingis and Horford? There must be a plan beyond that. We are going to see a lot of Kornet? Shaky.

Definitely a move that says the C's are all in this year. With Jrue sliding in as the starting PG, does White come off the bench? Or does Horford sit and we start a front court of Tatum, Brown and Porz?

IMO White coming off the bench would be a shame. He's too good a player.

Was it a mistake to trade for KG at 31 and Ray Allen at 32 y/o? Sometimes ya gotta take the risk to get over the hump.
I forgot alll about that

I think Al comes off the bench. Need to keep him fresh for the playoffs

Personally I'd like to see...

Porz
JT
JB
Jru
White

I think the need both passes out there at guard with black holes Port and Brown.

Cs have Pritch as the 3rd guard who can run 1 or 2 and 433 3 and D 6-7ish on the roster who can play the 2, 3 or 4.

That starting lineup is very sexy. But when you proceed look at the bench it is not very good. I think they try to have DWhite lead the bench rotation.

But either way I think the starting lineup thing is kinda meaningless other than a matter of ego. Derrick White will still be averaging around 30 mpg, maybe more if they don’t quite trust Pritchard enough.

Probably.

I'd like to see this team be tougher and smarter.

If they score less points so be it

I think the BBIQ has gone up, possibly at the expense of the toughness. But I’ll take that tbh.

Love the moves this offseason besides Brown, but they had no real choice with the CBA. Hopefully Porzingis and Holiday will hit and then they can trade Brown next offseason for cap space. With all the scorers they now have there’s no room for a high volume iso specialist.

If Brown works on his passing and dribbling I'll be happy
