i don’t agree..i don’t think teams in a wicked cap hell or teams with “cap space”, many years away from being a serious contender, are on the same general platform of the pats or other legit contenders.

there are a lot of trendy teams from this pats year, that will regress this season. happens all the time.

watch what happens to these teams that sign a 25 mil per qb, for example.
are you saying that the top ten in cap money are crappy teams?

No. I am saying that usually when teams have a lot of "cap space" are not very well run and/or have waited paying people ahead of schedule. See the Baltimore Ravens waiting on Flacco.

I haven't looked at who has the most cap space heading into FA.

If I were the GM I would pay Dion and Develin stays of course and bring in some youth to back up both of them.

IDK. BB seems to have shown a preference for RBs with some NFL experience, if they're available at a decent price. There are a couple (younger and older) who may be worth looking at during free agency. He could throw an RFA tender at Corey Grant (JAX).

The better question is why Bill signed him for only one year when it was pretty clear he would do well in this system?

The one-year deal may have been Burkhead's preference, and BB was simply willing to accept it.

I think DL leaves for big money (don't blame him) so I'd like to see Rex back, I don't want to say if he stays healthy since we said the same thing about DL. Could be bad luck, maybe TB 12 would help him stay healthy the whole year. Even Hanley Ramirez gave it a shot.

What would you consider to be "big money"?

I'd like to see signing Burkhead prioritized over giving Lewis big money. The Pats' RB-by-committee approach supports this, although I wouldn't mind seeing a workhorse rookie catch on.

The Pats were the first team to meet with Sony Michel. That kid would be a monster here.

Would comment on article but in face book jail for pictures below. Nice article. Too bad it is irrelevant. Not to insult you or the Patriots, but if some team, say, Oakland, offers him 3 for 36 million or whatever. 31 teams are stupid.

Nyheim Hines would be a good Lewis Replacement.

Lewis this past year became a star, I'd love to have him back but have a feeling someone might pay something that we're not willing to.

Rex, when healthy I thought played really well for us. I think he could be a really good bargain for us.
