Just saw this on ESPN, wondering if anybody can confirm this... Junior Seau is said to come out of retirement and sign with Patriots no later by tomorrow...

Anybody heard about this?

Wow...

Three days after announcing his retirement from the National Football League, former Chargers linebacker Junior Seau is on the verge of returning.

League sources confirmed that Seau will fly to New England tonight and, barring a last-second complication, will sign with the Patriots no later than Friday.

I really don't know much about Junior's level of play, can somebody provide me a quick crash course? I heard his level of play has dropped considerably over the last few seasons. Could we still expect to improve our LB situation?

I have not been a Seau fan at all...think he's one who does little on D..more reputation than playing...so?? I wonder if this WILL help...

There is a column in the San Diego Union Tribune quoting sources that pending a physical the Pats will Sign Seau as a middle linebacker www.signonsandiego.com. This is a terrieble move! Seau has no discipline and is not a BB type player!

Seriously, I think Junior, even at this stage of his career, is better than anybody else we have lining up with Tedy.
Except of course for Vrabel. But I'd rather have him on the outside.

I'm not a huge fan of the guy either.

But he adds depth and is better than Beisel by a mile.

Think of him as finally having a replacement for Ted Johnson.
