Teams didn't catchup to the defense as much as the Patriot offense faded after Brady got injured. The boogeyman defense was constructed to play with a lead, that became less effective as the Patriot offense faded and couldn't score. After the bye week (10) the offense posted the lowest point and yard totals on the season. Only one game eclipsed 30 points and that's because our defense forced 5 turnovers including one pick six... otherwise the offense took a nosedive.

We had big problems against the run.. of course we still could cover.. but teams started attacking us where we became vulnerable.. the film the first 8 weeks of 2019 is far different than the last 8 weeks... Tennessee exposed our weakness and that's how they came here and beat us..

Like the time you told us the defense that allowed the 4th fewest rushing yards and was ranked #1 in the entire NFL in yards per attempt last season was "bad at run defense." Your posts are biased nonsense.

The 2019 defense was ranked #1 in PoInTZ and they got punked by any good offense they played. You think that's the best defense in the league lolol. Sounds like you're admitting you're one of those low information fans who insist points per game on its own means anything other than being a product of schedule.

No that run defense wasn't good. Like the 2019 Boogeyman, they're a product of schedule and nothing more. Faced zero top 5 rushing teams in the league and I believe just 1-2 in the top 10. Not once did they stop a top back all season nor get a clutch stop when they needed to.

Teams with a 4-13 record aren't good at anything in any area.

We were 12-4, with brady putting up 24-10... had the defense been able to stop Miami after they had many chances too in the game we would have had a bye week.. the defense started out record breaking.. after the Ravens ran all over them after going 8-0.. the defense had a let down. When the QB is 24-8 hard to blame the QB.

Offensive points and yards all went down, Brady's production slipped... it led some people to ask if he was finally washed up. We found out after the season he was dealing with two separate injuries.

Like I said earlier, #1 ranked defense and 17th ranked offense in points per drive. You blamed the defense when the offense scored zero points in the second half against the Titans in the playoffs, the game ended on a TB12 pick six. If the offense could have scored a TD they would have moved onto the next round.

However somehow a QB with 24-8 was bad.. after seeing all the all pro QBs bill produced after Brady you'd love to see that type or production.

Defense padded thier stats earlier on the season.. @sb1 Already fact checked you... the TOs all that was all done early in that season while they feasted off bad QBs.. look what happened after the Ravens ran all over them.

Same here @PatsFan2 and I said the same thing.. no matter what BS about Brissett being the starter I can say confidently Drake will be the best QB in camp..

See my replies about the 2019 defense above, ballwashing aside I already answered this multiple times. Suggesting the #1 defense in the league was “bad” is some next level stupidity. If the offense doesn’t falter in 2019 and the Pats continue through the playoffs we might argue the 2019 defense was the best dynasty defense of all. When the offense faltered it made pass rushing (their strength) harder to utilize. Complementary football….
