I do think he's a good mentor actually. He was able to galvanize the team around him and was a great leader. He played like **** but there are a lot of intangibles a rookie can learn from.

this also helps with FAs.....not only in bringing in talent, but if you're looking at making QB trades or signs, it moves the Patriots off the "desperate" square and gives some leverage

I agree. Cam surprised me in this respect. Was expecting "all me, all the time".

I would bet it’ll be at least 10 million for the 1 year. Hopefully it’s loaded with incentives and only a 5 mill cap hit. That’s BEST case scenario. Really HORRIBLE move. Unless they get EXPLOSIVE offensive weapons in free agency and the draft, I don’t think Belichick has a long shelf life. Another 7-9 season, and you have to think his days are numbered. And with Cam As your starting QB, they are headed to 7-9 or worse.

Looking forward to another 8 TD pass season from Cam and TEs catching 3 passes all year.

Good mentor when he's playing i agree but he's going to be pouty if he's stuck on the bench.

Well, we can now look forward to another season of yelling, "Throw it! Throw the damn ball! Throw it!" at our TVs or maybe in person as the opposing edge rushers close in for the sack and as the window closes for open receivers. It was excruciating, but an oddly welcome release as the Coronavirus closed its grip on our grim and uncertain lives.

Does anybody know of a good men's figure skating forum that I could join? You people have been great but I don't think I can take another year of watching Cam Newton's slow-motion quarterbacking.
