But we can’t use our cap space because no one wants play here

It's because Mayo didn't know what he was doing nor did he have connections to get players around the league. Parcells, Carroll and BB did this when they came to NE.

Vrabel, McDaniels and Williams already got Landry, Spillane, Davis and there will probably be more.

Thunder did not want to spend last season.

Now he must spend because the only way he is making Canton above ground is with a Super Bowl on his own.

Well, the landscape was significantly different heading into the offseason this year compared to last year:

Jerod Mayo | Alex Van Pelt | Mac Jones | Bailey Zappe < Mike Vrabel | Josh McDaniels | Drake Maye - far more of a reason for guys to want to come here this year compared to last year, especially given Vrabel's history in Tennessee and Maye's performance last season.

players will play where the money and familiarity are.
the Pats can pay as much as they wish. they also have a very diverse staff that has direct relationships and contacts all over the league.
Vrabel, Josh and Maye should be attractive to most offensive players.

Messer's Landry, Spillane, Davis and Williams have entered the chat.

I believe that how the pats sucked for the last five years has something to do with players not signing here. I don't think its because kraft is telling vrable that he doesn't want to spend the money. Last year the pats were willing to throw a lot of money a two wide outs, one signed with tenn, i don't remember where the other one signed. Players want to win besides making money.

Milton Williams was huge! He alongside a healthy Barmore this defense can become dominant... who's going to run on them.. Or throw on them..

Vrabel gives instant credibility; the new staff coaches have lots of contacts and relationships that last year's staff didn't have.

Don't forget also that they WON'T use the cap space because Kraft just wants to pocket it all

Let’s also add here that many people on this board said no one would want to to come here this year either, some earlier today.

They almost missed out on Williams. If they had not signed him we would be singing a different tune. Fact is they signed 2 tier one free agents, better than usual so I give them that.
Still desperately in need of elite offensive playmakers

they shouldn't be using free agency to get tier 1 players
they should be drafting those players. resigning them. using free agency to fill in the voids and middle class of the roster
