Bruins Lose to NOT lock down the East - #2 Seed

I guess it being Vatrano is why I refused to give credit. Still a little bitter I suppose. Lol. Clearly you have more experience than I, so I'll take your word. Anyway I apologize for for all that BS. Classic example as to why I no longer post in GDT. Cheers!

All good. I have no problem calling out 'my' team and it's players when they've earned it. Take a look at my comments in the running B's thread and you'll see my biggest concern with this team is goaltending. Seeing a little too much November Rask lately has me concerned more than a little, especially since Doby is a JAG. I look at a team like the Devils with their 1/2 goalie combination and I'm envious. They may not have the horses up front to run with TB but they have the kind of proven tandem goaltending that can steal a series.

That's called bandwagoning.

I'm a New York Rangers fan as well, even though I'm New England born and raised, and root for the Patriots, Celtics, and Red Sox.

No one familiar with the Rangers franchise history could ever accuse a fan of theirs as bandwagon. Success has been frustratingly sparse, and most often we land in the Purgatory of just making/missing the playoffs, so having no real chance at the cup but also missing out on franchise altering draft picks.

Bitter the bruins lost? And i’m not a bruins fan so it’s not “game day thread talk.”

Nope, I love this Bruins team. They have played their asses off all season and now those who paid no attention to them are jumping on the bandwagon and acting like 5 year olds when they let up a few goals. They have played without their top players for months and played really well during that time. However, if your not a Bruins fan then it explains why you don’t know what your talking about.

Those hard fought wins during stretches where key guys were injured/suspended were certainly impressive as hell. Actually, remarkable. Unfortunately, they seemed to limp a bit down the stretch, so I think that’s where the concern lies.

Of course, had they won a game last night where they were -330 on the money line (insanely heavy favorites) and expected to win on home ice in order to lock up the top seed, the talk would be much more positive. Either way, we’ll have a much better read as to whether or not they’re going to bounce back in the upcoming series vs. TOR.

They ran out of gas imo. Hopefully a few days off will help because their schedule over the last month has been brutal. Bottom line for me is that this team really played great hockey with a roster stacked with first and 2nd year players. I love the style of play and the fact that they can come back in any situation. As for the seeding it doesn’t matter much, every series is going to be close and hard fought. Personally I think they are still a year away, but if Nash comes back in decent shape they can beat anyone. Can’t wait for the playoffs, they are going to be awesome. Hopefully the go deep in them.

Injuries have been killing them. They're still bringing guys back in after weeks away and they're clearly showing fatigue after the brutal post-All Star schedule. Should help to get a little rest before the playoffs. They're in good shape.

Rangers have never had a 1st or 2nd overall pick like the blackhawks and penguins. I have little respect for those teams because they tanked to get Toews/Kane and Crosby/Malkin. Gotta hope they get Rasmus Dahlin, but that's a pipe dream.

6 games in a row allowing the first goal..can't always mount comebacks in the playoffs. Have to fix this and the TOs in the gray areas.

Wanted NJ so bad first round but Leafs it is. IMO It will be the toughest series until the cup if they make it that far

I'll be at game 1....LETS ******* GO

Even when Bergy was out they went something like 6-0-2. They made it through the injuries amazingly. But now that everyone is healthy..the mesh factor and playing with each other is off...that should get better but it needs to and fast.

Riley Nash had a career year and without him hurts. All 3 hurt now should be good to go Thursday. Rick Nash has been skating since Friday

Even when this team was healthy to start the year..they projected 7-8 seed given their age. They won't win the cup this year IMO..but man that window is open for a while now

Rhode Island has a good number of Rangers fans many of whom are also Yankee and NY Giant fans.

It's an old time thing I guess ...

my 2 cents ...

Illya now is on the Rangers...and he said he wanted to win...Rangers are rebuilding right now. But he just wanted $$

Too painful to contemplate what that community is struggling with.

They've come out flat 7 straight games. Tired hockey teams are in the 3rd period not the first.
that's ********. tired hockey teams can be tired in any period. tired hockey teams have a hard time getting going in the 1st period. look at the last game. the Bruins played there best hockey in the third period of that game. there's physical exhaustion and there's mental exhaustion. they have played more games the last 5 weeks than any team in hockey. they didnt take their foot of the gas lol.

Not buying it. They've had rest. It's not like they've played 10 games in 11days.
