Somewhere in hockey Heaven, Johnny Pierson is smiling about the wrist and backhand shots that won this series for the Bruins. We loved that guy, a real gentleman and a Bruins legend, but boy did he love the wrist shots amirite?

Monday we will be tired going against a tough, rested Florida team that deserves a little payback. Go Bruins!!

Cranberry bogs were the best outdoor rinks for us. The burms around the bog were perfect for catching anything low so you weren’t chasing pucks for days. Chicken wire and 2x4’s made great goals. They’d usually freeze over like glass as long as there wasn’t high winds during the freezing process.

The rivers were good for hockey because the wind made the ice smooth.

Just needed to be careful for the spots where the current was strongest and the ice wafer thin.

Playoff hockey is different, every series is its own unique animal. That said the Bruins were 4-0 against FL this season, this matchup is hardly a foregone conclusion.

Just watched the 10-minute recap. Wow the Bruins goalie really saved their *** in the 1st period! He was excellent. Did they really switch goalies every other game this season? Just like Cheevers and Gilbert?

Why doesn't Sean McDonough work more games? He was great on the game winning call.

Toronto had golden scoring opportunities. but could not find the handle.

Lindholm scored his only post season goal at the perfect time. It appeared that he waited a few seconds before shooting and throwing off Swaymans timing.

The NHL is his sweet spot unlike Monday Night Football with John Gruden giving him the stink eye weekly.

Monkey is off their back now, maybe they will play more relaxed and stop mishandling the puck (especially McAvoy). Florida better not take the B's for granted. When you have a goalie playing as well as Swayman is, "Anything is possible."
