Yikes, given that it's a one-year rental I figured it'd be a 6th at most, and good chance it would be a 7th. At that cost, I'm less bullish on the trade, since there's actually a bit of risk on our hands now. Hopefully this is Ayers 2.0 and he ends up getting us a 5th round comp pick a year later anyway.

I believe they saved almost $2 million by waiting. They did have to pay Cooper's similar roster bonus since he was acquired earlier, but the Browns should have already paid Mingo's.

While they have depth, they do have questions. Sheard will get 50-60% of the snaps. He should hold up but who knows. Nink is 32. Long has been unable to stay healthy. Rufus, Flowers and Grissom are unproven.

Clearly they like the kid and think he has a chance to do something here. We'll see.

Jabaal Sheard

Could be argued Sheard and Lewis were two of the most important players not named Brady, Gronk, Collins or Hightower last year

Not saying he will be anywhere as good as them but it just shows Browns are just an incompetent team that hire incompetent coaches.

Hart is a blowhard. Sheard has 7.5 sacks his last 2 years with Cleveland and he was the best pass rusher on the Pats last year

Cleveland is a terrible team that has terrible coaches.

Bark Mingo can cover: Patriot Zone Defense should be fun to watch with him and Kamu Grugier-Hill. Both guys can cover alot of ground should really help our Safeties and CB's. The Patriots are going to be very Fast on 3rd Downs.

I'd really like to see him in the Von role. We have plenty of 4-3 ends but only 2 LBs worth a ****. Even if one of the linebackers is just pass rushing, it's still better than Freeny.

We play 3 LBs about 15% of the snaps. And when we did, the 3rd would be McClellan not Freeney.

Going back to 2010 BB has been w/o a 5th in 3 of those years and in the others hes drafted Mesko, Cannon, Lee Smith and Cardona.

A 5th for a fmr top 10 pick doesnt seem that bad of a deal.

The simpler name Mack Strong has to be up there as well.
