Patriots whining again, but America will be pulling for Denver Sunday

Don't you just love it when the whining New England Patriots and their insufferable fans complain about a referee's call, especially one on the last play of a loss?
First of all, the play that ended their Monday night game at Carolina wasn't the reason they lost. Second, Tom Brady's pass to Rob Gronkowski wasn't "catchable," at least not by Gronkowski. It was eminently catchable by safety Robert Lester, who intercepted it.
You want to argue otherwise? Fine, it was a debatable call. But the team that hosts your Broncos next Sunday night has a history of cheating, and their protests when calls go against them are beyond lame.
This is the team that was caught cheating in the "Spygate" scandal in 2007. This is the team caught cheating against the New York Jets this season, illegally pushing teammates on a field goal attempt.
This is also the team that went to Super Bowl XXXVI (which it won) via the infamous "tuck rule game" in a divisional playoff that should have ended in victory for Oakland.
This is a team with one of the least-likable coaches in the modern era of professional football. Bill Belichick has a great record, but Ravens coach John Harbaugh was right when he called that record "stained" because of Spygate, and Belichick's grouchy arrogance makes him an unsympathetic figure outside of New England.
Tom Brady may be 11-5 vs. Peyton Manning, but I'm betting most of America will be pulling for Manning and the Broncos come Sunday night.

Troll article, not worth clicking it for the page hit.

Beating Denver AGAIN in Foxboro would be so sweet.

Wait...Someone got paid to write that? That's not a post from message board? If so, that guy stole his paycheck that day.

From looking article and comments, why do so many Broncos fans ignore that their team violated the salary cap to build a championship team? It never gets mentioned and doesn't look like they have a Felger or Shaugnessy to constantly remind them.

Re: Patriots whining again, but America will be pulling for Denver Sunday

Why give him any attention/clicks?

Re: Patriots whining again, but America will be pulling for Denver Sunday

This guy realizes the Broncos were caught cheating more recently than the Patriots, right?

Also, I see we have another idiot on the "committing a penalty is cheating" train.

Re: Patriots whining again, but America will be pulling for Denver Sunday

This article is basically how every other team and their fans view New England and their fans.

no one here cares what a Barfalo fan "thinks" ...we all know THAT is an impossibility.

Cough salary cap cheating cough

Yeah, taped another team's practice but still managed to lose that game.

I also didn't see any mention of Von Miller and his suspension in that article. When that story first broke, he proclaimed his innocence. Then we found out that he was bribing the guy collecting his samples for drug testing. How that only merited a 6 game suspension and never gets mentioned is another mystery.

Trolls are like teeth. Ignore em' and they'll go away

Re: Patriots whining again, but America will be pulling for Denver Sunday

The fact is that many NFL teams have had their share of problems/cheating etc.

From the Steelers and others with their steroids scandals; to the Broncos, Redskins, Cowboys and their going over the salary cap; to the Jets/Rams/Old Chiefs/Cowboys (Jimmy Johnson) taping practices and on field signals; to the Saints Bountygate; the legal situations and drug testing violations of the Broncos, etc, etc, etc....

The only real difference is that Roger Goodell wasn't entering the league and attempting to make a name for himself by laying down a big circus show spark that quickly caught wind and became a forest fire for both the NFL and the Patriots.

The average fan just doesn't tend to hear about the other issues because they don't become 1/10th of what spygate became, so they continue to think of us as the lowest bar set in terms of "cheating" or rule breaking. Most of them are ignorant and choose what they want to believe.

stop making sense...or else YOU will be responsible for cranial explosions as these trolls try to process reality.

Shoot, I really wish I would have seen this before sending in my 570 word formal complaint.

Re: Patriots whining again, but America will be pulling for Denver Sunday

Articles like these just prove that you don't have to even come close to telling the truth or being unbiased anymore in today's society of tweeting and social media mis-information.

One would think that the average fan would see right through this, but sadly that's not the case. I'm sure there are many who will see this as a "good" article.

Re: Patriots whining again, but America will be pulling for Denver Sunday

Journalist hacks no longer have an effect on me. It use to piss me off, but now all I see is jealousy. And I'll take jealousy over pity.

Re: Patriots whining again, but America will be pulling for Denver Sunday

the best would be manning getting injured and being done for the year at the hand of a 'questionable' but legal hit

Hey Toolbag!

SUNDAY CAN'T COME SOON ENOUGH!!! I'LL BE AT THE STANDS, MAKING SURE TO PULL MY 12TH MAN FORCE OFF THE TOP OF MY LUNGS!!!

Manning and donkeys are GOING DOWN! AGAIN!!!!

No thanks. I don't want any excuses, or any accusations that the Pats won because they took Manning out of the game. I want that bastard forehead to finish the game, standing on his legs.... and pulling another one of his famous Manning faces as he shakes TFB's hand.

TB: "Maybe next time pal.... until then, I own you donkey b1tches!":
