Tet ran 4.46 - 4.55 according to various reputable sources. Most of the sources seemed to agree with 4.53. Mike Evans ran a 4.53. He’s pretty good right? 4.55 that is a solid time for a 6’5 220lb player.I have not been thru the combine results for every starting left tackle drafted in the last 25 years looking for arm length measurements... and if you say you have, I will drive to your house and call you a liar to your face.
Is the arm length ideal? not if you listen to the talking heads... Do I care? No I do not... Just like you don't care Tet ran a 4.55 in the 40... difference between us is I am not ducking it... I acknowledge this perceived deficiency, and it still does not bother me or persuade me that we need to go in a different direction... How well did your "Tet ran a 4.48" post age? Its a rhetorical question - we all know the answer - it aged like a five day old dead fish hidden under a car seat in the dead center of Death Valley, California in August...
So? Will Campbell... A day 1 starter at Left Tackle as a true freshman... In the SEC no less... The Premier college football division... And if you look at his tape, and I have not watched his entire college career unfold I will admit, how well did he do? He has backed his rep up with his play on the field... 2nd team all sec as a freshman, x2 all SEC as a sophmore & junior, Jacobs Blocking Trophy winner in 2024... The NFL is littered with "can't miss prospects" who can't make the transition... Just like its full of guys who had to fight for every minute of their playing time and turned out to be stars... Its a crap shoot no matter how you look at it... His track record as a hard working player who has succeeded despite the disadvantages of less than ideal measurements gives me confidence he will be able to make the transition at the pro level...
In other words: I'd rather have a LT with shorter than ideal arms than another N'Keal Harry - a slow ass WR with separation issues that gets by on being a better athlete than the guys he's playing against... That will not be the case in the NFL... maybe Tet will be a great receiver... Maybe he won't... it does not matter as its not our most pressing need... and yes, when your roster has gaping holes, you'd better be considering those needs over "BPA"... BPA is fine for teams who are dealing from a position of strength... we, however, are not.
We need to build the Line... Drake Maye can't throw the ball with his ass on the ground... Its one of the main reasons his QB rating was 4.2 points below the league average... there's a reason why he was harried, hit, pressured or sacked on nearly 20% of his drop backs last year... Its the reason why he had to visit the blue tent twice last year... You can scheme less than ideal wr's to get open... You can scheme plays for a quick release... You can't scheme around poor blocking... Eventually it catches up with you, and you either lose your QB to injury or you turn the ball over...
Unless you bring something new to the table, I think this discussion between us has run its course... I can't keep repeating myself, saying the same things over and over...The Pats will draft who they draft... I will support who ever we draft and will hope they are successful no matter if I disagree with the selection or not.
Thats just me... Ymmv... Go away now.

Jokes on you! I advocated for Hunter! Not Tet.
minnow hunting is fun, lol...
It looks like he doesn’t want to play anywhereThere was a report that one free agent told his agent that he did not want to play in New England. We've been operating under the assumption that either Cam wants too much or the Pats aren't interested, but I do wonder if Cam Robinson has decided he doesn't want to play for New England. Marrone doesn't have the best reputation and it's possible Robinson has no desire to play for him again.
i think we both know that's not true. Otherwise you would be gone by now, like I asked. You are too easy
Jokes on me? Well, golly gee, i am flummoxed ... I don't know what to say (okay, thats a lie) ... I suppose its better to have the joke being on me vs being the joke.Jokes on you! I advocated for Hunter! Not Tet.
and this has what to do with anything? trying to make some ... what do they call it? ahh ... An appeal to authority... Is that what you are going for?Btw, have you ever played or coached football in your life?

I just posted one of the first sources which happened to be a credible one, don’t kill the messenger. It actually aged very well, his draft stock as gone up. Just because you have your head so far up Breer’s butt doesn’t make any other source less credible. It seems to me you have a problem with wide receivers in general, just don’t like them perhaps?
I also never advocated for Tet at 4. I have said Hunter all the way. And yes, you would be a fool to pass up Hunter for a lineman.
I agree with you that a left tackle and blocking is very important. Maybe the most important. Where we disagree is Will Campbell. I think you are crazy for wanting to gamble on a huge risk taking a left tackle who odds are won’t end up at that position . If you told me you would like to trade back and take a different tackle in round 1 with a wingspan longer than an alligator, then I would be on board. Campbell is a huge reach at 4 and you know it.
He is a more athletic version of Drake London. Are you happy with Drake London’s production?Every report I have seen on MacMillen’s pro day had him at 4.48. And he still can’t get separation. Of all the picks they can make at 4 his is the only one I hate.
We started 3 guys who couldn’t make a 53 man roster for must of the year and the other 2 were 6th round picks. If the Pats do go with Lowe at LT, the one hope is that his biggest problem last year was he wasn't properly coached and Marone and Scar can coach the guy up to be at least a serviceable LT. I do believe a lot of the problems with the o-line and the entire offense had to do with coaching and not all talent.
I have said that I have hope that with proper coaching both Polk and Baker can be salvaged or even redeemed. I feel the same with the young o-linemen who have had horrible coaching both in 2024 and 2023.
But he has got insane hands. He will most likely outmuscle every DB or lb and come down with the ball. I think he will end up being double teamed as nobody can win 1 on 1 with him and noticed that he is pretty fluid. He does not look like Harry but not sure if he is sure shot 1000 yards per season wr.Every report I have seen on MacMillen’s pro day had him at 4.48. And he still can’t get separation. Of all the picks they can make at 4 his is the only one I hate.
I have said in numerous posts that its Hunter>Carter>trade down> Campbell but thanks for letting me know I may get fired. You don’t pass up Hunter for Campbell unless you want to be fired
