Brandon Marshall has it right.......

...Manning has NEVER been an impediment to the Pats winning a superbowl. In 2006 it was the flue, the refs, and a 4th and 2 ball placement...
Not to pick nits, but the 4th/2 incident came during the 2009 regular season.
The flu, the crooked zebras, and Bill NaPolian's pumping in fake crowd noise doomed the Pats in the 2006 AFCC.

Edit: or did NaPolian pump in extra heat in order to further drain the flu-ridden Pats?

Bellicheck leaves no stone unturned. He is the ultimate mother hen. I mean that in a good way. Ducks are in a row. And everyone doesn't get far out of bounds. Best coach I have ever seen on any level. Also, he groomed Brady as an on field coach. Best on field coach of all time. Now combine that with a kid, who is now a old buffer like us, and you have dominance. Nobody can see this as obvious, but Jerry made sure there was a reason behind we were winning so much. Our hatred is misguided, our hatred should be leveled at JJones. He spends more time trying to out f Kraft and the league politics than building his dynasty. If there is a fan base that should feel like hey were robbed... it's the cowboys. Their owner has locked them out of glory because of personal power trip and greed.
All of Mr. Kraft, Mr. Brady and Mr. Belichick have played key roles in the dynasty. Brady is the greatest quarterback of all time, Belichick is the greatest coach of all time. Kraft is an excellent owner, recent decisions notwithstanding, and at the very least gets the credit for putting them both on the same team, and he's done great work to improve the viability and stability of the franchise in New England as well.

“The league is not competitive,” Marshall said. “We all should be ashamed. Even you guys covering them on TV should be ashamed. Players should be ashamed, coaches should be ashamed, owners should be ashamed. How do we let these guys do this year in and year out? Congratulations. You guys are phenomenal. You can’t get any better. But how do 31 other organizations let this happen? I know Ray (Lewis) is going to say, ‘I killed a COUPLE GUYS. I did my job.’ You should have killed five.”

You actually misquoted the last line of his monologue. Thank God I was here to correct the record.

No, thank God I was there to correct the record...

You can’t copy the patriots with blake bortles and doug marrone...

I'd actually say they represented quite well for a team "with Blake Bortles and Doug Marrone".

Before the game I was actually thinking it was probable that I would root for them in the unlikely event that they pulled off the win. But during the game I thought they showed a lot of pittsburghesque douchebaggery. (Particularly Myles Jack and Barry Church) If it had come down to Jax vs Phi it would have been tough to have a rooting interest......

We went 9 years without winning the super bowl. I don't know if i agree with Marshall. It's not easy getting to this point. It's a lot of things like dealing with a salary cap etc. I hope we can finish this dynasty the next couple of years with a bang! Gotta look at Seattle as an example as to why it's competitive. It will be 3 years now they haven't been back here.

There is no competition in the AFC now that peyton has retired. It’s an easy path to the super bowl when you own your only real threat (pittsburgh).
AFC is a dust bin, an ash heep, a dumpster fire. There is some truth in what Marshall says. But really it is more about the Patriot's excellent than anything else.

I would also argue its 16 teams to blame vs 32.

I would argue it's 32 teams to blame. We can't ignore the NFC teams, the Pats play 4 of them a year and they add to the W total that not only gets them to the playoffs but helps ensure home field. 16 NFC teams + 15 AFC teams + 1 New England Team (the real culprit) = 32

The amazing thing the Pat's are rarely if ever the most talented roster but they more than make up with it with BB and TB12. My wife asked my tonight why every Super Bowl the Pats play in is a nail biter. I couldn't give her an answer. Not sure if it's because we play more talented teams with TB and BB's schemes making up for less talent and it evens out over a full game. Just once I'd like a comfortable win though you can't deny that feeling when you win in the last seconds.

I’ll take the blowout, but the Mayan ritual will always be my favorite.

Where is Wide World of Sports when you need to see some salty Pittsburgh tears?

Aaaaaaah, the agony of DEFEAT!!!

he he he he he he.........

And once again, congrats to the Steelers on their Pro Bowl return, must feel like home to them.
