Lots of reasons. Expensive. Cap issues. Productive. Valuable asset. Scheme fit. Never for cultural/off field issues.

Look at Hollins. Hes on his 6th team but for different reasons. He's always been a reserve and teams believe they can upgrade. Middling production. Middling talent. Cost effective as a WR3/4/5 but a pros pro who has value in the right system. He's kinda like the Crash Davis of the NFL lol
Not at all comparable. Hollins has 2600 yards in 8 years with 2 seasons above 500 yards.

Cooks has nearly 10k yards with 6 1k+ yard seasons. He is a borderline hall of famer. He has by far the craziest NFL career in terms of number of teams relative to production. Makes zero sense especially that you never hear about any off the field issues about him.

Makes plenty of sense, he's a flag football player.

You missed my point. I was articulating why some players play for multiple teams over their career. The reasons are endless and it isn't always about locker room issues.

Cooks got passed around because teams like the Saints traded him to the Pats because they didn't want to pay him. It was odd at first. But we soon found out why. Although he caught 1,000, you can tell he wasn't comfortable in the offense with him being used similar to Moss. I had a feeling him being careless running around before getting knocked out in Super Bowl was the nail in the coffin. As we found out, the Pats didn't want to pay him either and just traded him. He's a very good WR, but he's not a very physical when fighting DB's for the ball which is a important trait for an outside WR. Case in point the Super Bowl vs the Rams. He initially blew by the Pats coverage and would've been a walk in TD had Goff not been Goff. Once Goff located him, McCourty caught up to him in the back of the endzone and knocked down the pass. I've seen this regularly with Cooks.

Brandin Cooks in his prime was a pretty good WR but “borderline hall of famer” is really pushing it. He has similar receiving yards career wise to T.Y. Hilton, another solid WR who isn’t in the HOF conversation at all, and that guy has been to multiple Pro Bowls while Cooks hasn’t been to any.

Joey Galloway is another interesting case similar to Cooks. Better numbers actually and played deeper into his career. But like Cooks, not a single Pro Bowl selection. I wouldn’t consider Galloway HOF material either. There are too many great WR with better credentials.

Agreed on Mack Hollins being a different case, but he has a much different skill set. What makes him valuable and what makes Cooks valuable are entirely different.

I must have missed this when it happened, but since I now know Cooks is with Buffalo I'll say now what I would have said then.

I'd like to offer my deepest sympathies to the Cooks family during this terrible time in their lives.

Cooks has always been a "Good" WR, WHY he's been moved around so much is a mystery to me... I've never seen him do dumbass stuff off the field, or complain.

Yet he's moved almost every year.

Backyard Ball, really poor blocking? I dunno.

Mystery.

like Shroder in the nba, good player but bounce around every year
