Because he is on the ownership side of that suit. He said so today.
He would rather Goodell win than Brady.
The NFLPA wants to use this case to set an example. Do you really thing Kraft would choose his commissioner losing power over Brady missing 4 games?

I hope Brady in Maximus' words goes "Unleash Hell" on Goodell, the league office and the league itself.
League discipline, league perception and anti-trust exemption are all in play.
Nothing would please me more than to see a court decision that reduces the value of 32 franchises.

You know, just because we all mutter anti-trust exemption doesn't mean there's a way to work it into Brady's mess. All that's likely to happen is the league will be forced to rehear Brady's appeal via a neutral arbiter.

They are never going to admit that whether they did or not. Bedard reported there is no deal for Brady and he also said that he doesn't necessarily believe it.

Seeing you right now in this state is painful, since I've seen you in the light of being one of the biggest Patriot homers on this board over the years.

If I were you I would just cool off and pump the brakes a bit. You have every right to be upset but I'd take a break from all of this to put it into more perspective.

I told my son to expect we will not be going to any more games.
I will abandon this site soon, and pray that BB and Brady get out of this hell hole and move to a franchise that will treat them with respect.

Again, why? The NFL loses nothing by Brady's appeal being overturned. What did they lose when the Saint's players appeals were overturned?

Brady has a slam dunk case. So the league will let it leak that Kraft worked a deal and then Goodell will drop the suspension, and not everyone will say the fix was in, Kraft took one for the cheater,and Brady was never serious about suing because his phone proves his guilt, and Kraft covered for him.

I think if Kraft made a deal with Goodell to get Brady's suspension removed, they defacto kept this out of court unless Brady sues for defamation. If Goodell removes the suspension, what can Brady and the NFLPA so for other than defamation.

In fact, this might have been part of the plan to begin with for Goodell. Convince Kraft to fall on the sword for Brady and pull the rug out from under Brady and the NFLPA.

This is what I first thought of when the report and subsequent penalties came out. Way too much of this had been made for nothing to come of it with the Wells report. The public response made it so Roger pretty much had to come down hard on them since they put so much money and time into the report. Easy over penalization then retract in an effort to appease both sides but in reality were the only ones getting ****ed.

goodell and the owners are not out of the woods yet. first there's the matter of the NFLPA tearing this whole thing a new one because that's what happens every time......it's time to forget Kraft.

The NFLPA and Kessler have zero reasons to not hold back......their perspective is quite different......they will be out to prove that the process of handing out punishments to players is wrong and they're quite good at doing that.....it's a matter of how much of the truth gets out about Kensil and the sting and how much they can leverage the science to prove nothing was done wrong....I think they have everything the need to get that done.

I still think that when this is all done, there is going to be a definitive sting operation in the evidence, and that's the moment where owners will start asking questions......does the league want the teams ratting each other out? because as of right now, if I was BB, I'd be adding 2 things to my agenda.....first, how to catch teams cheating at home.......2nd, how to catch teams cheating on the road.

It is a common belief that Kraft traded Brady's suspension for the team's punishment.

If he did, that's a bad deal. 1st and 4th round draft picks are more valuable than four games with Brady instead of JG. It's also a bad deal because it's unnecessary.

Not really, Adrian Peterson had a more compelling case and the League are appealing that decision.

You thought yesterday that Goodell would see the error in his ways and realize how bad the Wells report is and overturn the penalties. Quite obviously, Goodell did the opposite by convincing Kraft to stop challenging the content of the report and fall in line.

So you may be wrong about how slam dunk of a case Brady has. From an outsider's point of view, he looks to have a strong case, but many legal experts felt there was no way Aaron Hernandez was going to be convicted for killing Odin Lloyd because the prosecutor's case just wasn't strong enough.
