nice piece from Reiss again on building Brady-Cooks connection:
Tom Brady and Brandin Cooks working hard to build a rapport

quote:

"[We] are building up a rapport but that takes a lot of time to be built," Brady explained. "That goes all the way through the season. We're working hard at it. We're talking about things. There are a lot of things that go on to try to improve the learning curve, but he's just been so much fun to be around."

As for Brady, Cooks said, "To play with a guy like that is special. The way that he pays attention to the game, he makes you up your level a little more."

One example of that came on Friday when Cooks was working on a shorter route to the inside part of the field, and he dropped a pass from Brady. Immediately, Brady directed Cooks back to the line of scrimmage and the two went through the same route again and executed it the second time around. Still, Cooks held himself accountable by hitting the ground for push-ups. Soon enough, the horn sounded to signal that it was time for the next drill, but Brady called for Cooks to do it one more time before they moved on.

The addition of Cooks is going to be incredible! From catching a 10 yard slant and taking it to the house, to demanding that the safety help deep on his side of the field, opening up the seam for Gronk. This offense is gong to be great.

The offense that put up 31 points in the last 20 minutes of the Superbowl, has not lost a single offensive lineman, swapped out Blount for Gillieslee and Burkhead, and added All Pro WR ludicrous speed Cooks and an All World TE in the Gronk.

This show that Cooks is no one trick pony he's the complete package when it comes on to routes... short - intermediate and long.
