speaking of whom...caught a little of the mid day show on EEI...Ordway is still a fat, bloated little pufferfish but what the hell is wrong with Fauria? He's way off the rails to the point that I can't listen to another second of his bad impressions and bigoted non sequiturs...what happened to SPORTS radio?

Joker, I've been in GA for the last three or four months and have heard more love for BB, Brady and the Pats than I have during my ten years living in Mass. It's just ridiculous. F' them azzholes.

All the time media make up different, dirty and catchy stories to force people to discussion and to sell articles. Writing about polite and kind-hearted BB or TB12 s not fashionable,it is boring as hell. Especially during the off-season spicing things up,talking about frustrated players and coaches let us make a question - is that really truth or just another charade by the media?Believe it or not curiosity and desire of knowing others opinions creates forums like this.

Speaking of crap local sports talk, Friday PM turned on the radio and heard Felger pontificating that Michel was really McDaniels pick which was given to him as some sort of reward for not leaving or other such nonsense...

Sportstalk radio has descended into a cesspool of sensationalism, speculation and half truths, remember a half truth is still a lie.

It's reached depths so low that it's unimaginable. From my view, they could shutter up 98.5 and WEEI permanently tomorrow and no fan in NE would have her/his sporting interest lessened one iota. Yesterday, just out of curiosity, I tuned in to the (Bo)Zo and Bertrand show. I lasted about 2:34.

Well, he IS the best coach in NFL history. That doesn’t mean there wasn’t or isn’t something happening behind the scenes. One merely has to look at the way Brady has answered some “controversial” questions about the team in the past vs. the way he’s answering them now. Whatever it is, I’m sure they’ll put it past them when it’s time to get back to work. That’s usually the way working relationships go.

Evidently people are too busy trying to turn comments into something they aren’t and missed the direct comments.

"He's very respectful to me," Brady said ..."We've had a great relationship. A very respectful relationship for a long time and I feel like he's the best coach in the history of the NFL."

Brady admitted Belichick's "not the easiest coach to play for" ... but added, "he's the best for me."

"He's an incredible coach. He's been an incredible mentor for me. He's taught me so much football ... I wouldn't be sitting here without his coaching."

I'm a writer. About 20 years ago, I had a book come out that pissed off a lot of people. It was a bad time for me, as I was being hounded around the internet and being blamed for something over which I had no control.

At a New Year's Eve party, a judge friend told me something I've never forgotten. He asked me why I was so down (I had also just lost a dear friend to cancer - the onslaught online was just piling on).

When I told him, he laughed. "I'm a lawyer. You want to compare attacks?"

Then he told me: "Half the reason your publisher is paying you is because you give some people something to ***** about. For them, THAT is entertainment."

I watched Felger and Mazz for the first time in years the other day (I hate anger-porn talk radio, as I know people in the industry and they willingly and happily admit that their entire business plan is to piss people off and/or rile them up - you want to know why a sports mouth or a political/cultural mouth will say something so obviously wrong? Because his job is to get the lines to light up with people who will correct him.)

Now, go read the draft threads.

I rest my case.

What was your book about?

Fiction. Not sports-related. A beloved character got killed.
I’m behind on the Sword of Truth series, and I swear to the football gods I will hunt you down with a voodoo doll if I find out you’re Goodkind and something happens to Zed!!! In all seriousness, thank you for sharing your story. I’m glad to see that you’ve made it out of the darkness. Great write up!

I live in Northern California. To me, SF and Oakland are Central Cali. I’m NOOOORTHERN! Lotsa sticks and hicks. Our talk radio consists of nothing about political anger schtick. I don’t listen to it. Not because they say things they don’t like, but because their methods of delivery is nauseating and the ******** that flies from their mouths is so predictable. Now, I’ve been coming to this board for yeaaaars and people have ALWAYS *****ed about the local radio guys. After the invent of satellite radio, I’ve gotta say they suck and for some damn reason all of the local guys hate our team. So guess what....I don’t listen to them. Darryl. I’m not directing this straight at you. Just everyone in general. Lotsa folks on this site listen or watch and then get all riled up about it.:D Drink a hot cup o joe in the morning and crank up some Queensryche!!!

Nope, not Terry G. Don't really know him, either, though we've shared editors in the past.

So because a guy writes negatively about a story where their was plenty of evidence of bad blood brewing...you call him a hack? Is he only allowed to write about rainbows and sunshine?

Not saying I agree with anything BSPN related, however I do think something went on this season between Brady and B.B. I think they will be fine moving forward
Curran is reporting on reporting.

Look, nothing is going to change until the AUDIENCE changes, just like nothing is going to change until the voters change. Guys are trying to sell their new "hot Boston sports site," so they're going with the ratings (Felger and Mazz).

Sad to see Curran playing that game.

See? That's what the word "context" means.

Lets face it, Butler screwed up and his friends (teammates) are covering for him. Pure and simple, you don't throw your buddy under the bus.

BB keeps all team business as private, always has, always will. So expecting him to spill everything is absurd.

Curran is full of sheet. I've lost pretty much all respect for him.
Yep. The dood works in the world of perceptions, and yet he some how doesn't know or care that he's trashed his reputation by continuously pushing this "he said, she said" high school level narrative.

I heard his reporting on the recent interview and all he did was focus on the "taking the fifth" line and ignore EVERYTHING else TB12 had to say.

Stop being so gullible, people.
BB, TB, Gronk and Kraft are all fine.
Y'all are the ones acting like drama queens, not TB and Gronk.
They're all doing what they always do- prepare their best to be their best.
Forchrisesakes, people, enjoy it while it lasts. We know this great dynasty only has a few more years. So enjoy it.
Sheesh. The constant whining on this board has made it almost unreadable sometimes. Which is a shame, because Ian has made this a GREAT home for Pats fans all over the world.
REAL criticism is always warranted. But this gossip boolsheet is ridiculous.
Sorry for the rant.
No need to apologize.

The BS (Boston Sports) media have become nothing but a bunch of ass clowns.

The only way to change things is to STOP PAYING ATTENTION to them.

The only exposure I get to Curran is via the daily NBC Sports Boston podcast, and more often than not these days I end up skipping over any segment that has Curran in it because he just keeps pushing this narrative, despite the fact that TB12 and Gronk both say they're going to be playing in the fall.

Wish I could remember which SNL show a long time ago, where the guest host played a talk radio performer. The host started with some sort of local political controversy which drew no calls, so he spiced it up, still to no avail. Soon he was screaming his support of satanism, bestiality, Nazism and any perversion he could think of, still no lines lit up. Finally, during his last wretched attempt to offend someone, The telephone lineman comes in.

"We finally found the problem. Phones are back on."

That's ludicrous. Unless he committed a felony or whateva you play the guy. He's out of your life after the season. He wasn't coming back.
