Normally I like Curran. He's been one of the more consistent beat reporters. However lately he's become more of a TV guy/personality. And it you are going THAT route, you need to have an "edge"/"gimmick" to show that you aren't a "hometown shill".
For years Brady has been Curran's blind spot, imo. Tom can do NO wrong and every chance he gets he favors his "cause", regardless of whether it's necessary or not. Tom's salary has always been a flash point for him and his comments will always make you believe that Tom is somehow been taken advantage of.
Now most of the media will ALWAYS take the side of the player in a contract dispute. But what's frustrating is that in this case there WAS no dispute, yet they still make inferences from the contract terms (that both parities signed, btw) to imply that they are still at odds.
