Brady apologizes to Josh

I think a public apology was the right thing to do. No matter the relationship, McDaniels is still a coach.

I have withheld judgement on the matter since I don't know what was really said. The internet lip readers have made suggestions, some of which I find concerning, but nothing I found to be conclusive.

I’m not that great of a lip reader, but you don’t have to be in order to clearly see he told McDaniels “**** you” multiple times.

Have you ever played sports ? Did you seriously have to apologize for ****talking your team mates or opponents afterwards ? What is this ?

Both are competitive people, both were frustrated and Josh kept pushing Brady's button by repeating that someone was open. That thing was forgotten 3 minutes afterwards before the idiot sports media made it some moronic controversy.

This.

Brady absolutely did the right thing and I'm real proud of him for doing it. Emotions run high during an NFL game but that does not excuse a player to yell and scream at his coach and say "F-U" .

What it also does is sends a message to the entire team that not even the greatest player who ever lived should have license to publicly berate a coach.

Coaches that work hard and do the best they can so players are in a position to succeed (and do) DEMANDS their respect. Josh does that. Tom knows it.

I'm old school on this stuff. I think its important. Great message for the younger players. Respect your coach.

If Brady had a lower than average vitamin D intake due to decreased sun absorption because of higher dermal melanin levels...he would be incarcerated for making such a lame apology.

Speculation...

Here we are almost a week later, why apologize now?

I do wonder if once Brady saw OBJ sound off and try to use Tom's behavior to justify his own primadonna situation he wanted no part of that.

I also wonder if Tom thought his behavior hurt Josh's potential candidacy for HC somewhere.

I assume because he (and maybe others) kept being asked about it and this way that story is dead and a potential distraction gone.

Or maybe Gisele saw the clip and told him to better ****ing apologize..

Maybe. I think we can all relate to later acknowledging that we behaved badly towards someone we care about because a family member or a friend said something to you and you then realize you were out of line. Its happens.

Or maybe Tom picked up a vibe from Josh and they talked it out and Tom felt this was an appropriate action.

What his action clearly demonstrates is Tom Brady is a man and his fame, fortune and GOAT status does not put him above the feeling to apologize to someone.

Another example of the leadership he brings to this team.

This x 1000.
It's ridiculous to even be talking about it, still.

The NFL/ media/fans are just becoming so freaking PC and wussified.
Everyday is some stupid new rule, crying, envy, demands for apologies...

It's sickening to me.

It's a nonevent for me. A fiery player is going to end up blowing his stack on the sideline once in a while. It happens once in a blue moon with Brady. He apologized publicly I guess to make it 'official' but I'm sure he already said it privately to Josh McD. No biggie.

How soon before someone here whose name I shall not mentions essays that Tom owes an apology to the fans? For the children!

So ... someone with the initials "LdT"? Or maybe "RL(kag)"?

I have nooo idea who you could possibly be referring to, so I thought I'd just start tossing out the initials of some of the numerous "butt-hurt and self-righteous".
