Obviously that amazing win is much more important tonight, but as a bonus, Manning has fell behind Brady's record 50 TD pace of the 2007 season.

Brady (Through 11 games, 2007): 39 TDs
Manning (Through 11 games, 2013): 36 TDs

Right now, he'll need 14 TDs in 5 games to tie Brady.

To those who say "Yeah, but it'll eventually be broken anyways with today's rules". Perhaps, but I always want Brady to have his 50 > 49 on Manning.

Hopefully KC can hold him to just 1 TD again

He's been either tied or behind for the past 3-4 games now. This is actually nothing new.

Starting after 8 games, he was tied.

As of 9 games, he was tied.

As of last week at 10 games, he was a full 4 TD's behind (38 for Brady vs 34 for Manning).

Tonight after 11 games, he is once again behind even though he threw for 2 more and is at 36 (in the 11th game Brady only threw 1 and stood at 39).

If anything, he's actually gained a TD on the behind pace from last week, cutting it from 4 to 3.

Peytie is all world for # of under the bus faces in NFL history though...tonight was pricelsss...openly shaking his head on the sideline, like THEY(Welker and Co.) lost the game but not the Peytie Almighty...what a conceited little goon.

I don't care if he throws a hundred. I know definitively who's better.

Manning has been great but even Brady slowed down towards the end of the 07 season. With the bad weather and the need to run the ball his chances aren't looking good.

Brady had some big games in December of 2007. I don't know if Manning is going to have many or any the way his passing offense is slowing down and he cannot adapt to the cold.

Interesting road ahead for Manning to get 14 TD passes in five games - 3 TD passes/game to break the record. Quite achievable if he can get three against the Chiefs in the cold and with the noise of KC. That is the biggest hurdle.

I hope he plays every snap through the end in pursuit of 50 TDs and adds additional wear and tear to his ankles and decrepit body.

The Chargers game is probably the one where he gets four or more TDs in a shootout with the resurgent Philip Rivers lighting it up. The Texans suck but may see the Broncos at home and Manning as a save-my-job game before they fold up at Tennessee in week 17.

At Kansas City Chiefs
Home against Titans
Home against Chargers
At Houston Texans
At Oakland Raiders

My guess is that he gets there.

stats = fools gold

i really don't care about it anymore. stats happen when you have great offensive weapons. brady is the living proof. stats don't make the QB.

having said that peyton will break it. he will get 51 tds. just watch.

RIght now it's not looking very cold in KC for Sunday. Temps above 50, maybe foggy... I think it's unlikely he runs into much if any real cold the rest of the way.

He is ahead of the Brady '07 pace for loses :rocker:

With the weather turning, I am now confident Peyton won't hit 50

As long as he doesn't reach 17 playoff wins, i'll be at peace.

I don't think he's going to get it. It's only going to get colder and that arm strength is noticeably weaker now than it was at the beginning of the year. That long pass to Thomas in OT was underthrown. A few years back, that would have been a laser and a completion.

We really, really need KC to win this week.
KC will definitely lose another.
We are poised to run the table, and get HFA. If Denver wins this week, I don't see who is on that schedule that could bust them.

Perhaps, but he sure will run into KC's defense at Arrow Head next week.

possibly without hali/Houston

SD just shredded that defense.
those rushers make that D.

In 07, every team started bringing it like it was the superbowl.

I think he gets the record but only if week 17 is still meaningful to the Broncos and they're not being pushed to the wire by the chiefs or the pats.

If the Broncos wrap things up early I see him sitting and likely falling short of the record.

Like I said, I don't see Brady's record being around for much longer. Someone will break it soon, whether it's Manning or not.
