Boston Patriots again ?

No way we go back to the Boston Patriots especially after the latest snub Kraft got when trying to build a stadium in Southie.

On another note, maybe you can help me. I'll be touring Italy in early October and I thought that telling Italian jokes would help break the ice.

October usually is a very good month here in Italy (the temperatures normally are still good)

start to use the famous words:

buongiorno = good morning
buonasera = good evening
piacere di conoscerla = nice to met you
ciao or salve = hi

I doubt they'd do it even if they moved back to Boston, from a marketing stand point. Seems like a lot of people outside of Massachusetts here would feel alienated.

Flying in & out of Milan, touring Tuscany, Florence, Venice and Cinque Terra. Staying in a friend of a friend's villa outside of Pisa. No swing south to Rome this trip. I will miss the Pats-Miami game but have timed the trip for the Bye week.

I'm from Saugus, I'm proud of Boston...but I don't like it either! It's almost as bad as when they tried to call the NY Jets, the New Jersey Jets. Like I said, ALMOST as bad! LOL

The New England Patriots represent a lot of die hard, solid fans from all over the New England area and the name has history, mostly recent, that I wouldn't want to see touched!

No way should it be changed back. The Patriots wouldn't be one of the richest teams in the NFL with one of the strongest markets for their merchandise if it were only MA fans supporing them.

The entire New England area claims them as their team and supports them by buying merchandise and tickets. Changing it back would be dumb.

I'm sure some clown will one day decide to re-name them the Foxborough Patriots of Boston.

For now, "Boston Patriots" just sounds old-timey, and AFL-ish. (Note: after practice in Pop Warner league one day, I became irate when someone told me "they're not the Boston Patriots anymore they're the New England Patriots now." Very embarassing the next day, but I stuck to my guns on the issue, stubbornly insisting it would be dumb to change the name if they're not even moving.)
