BOSTON CELTICS vs. Washington Wizards (Eastern semi-finals)

As great a game Bradley had last night he left some points on the floor a missed dunk and two missed and one's. That said if Bradley has finally arrived on a consistent level Offensively we could win maybe Three against the Cavs. Gotta give IT some help.

3 quarters maybe. It will take a whole lot more than an offensively productive AB to win 3 games against the Cavs.

It will haunt them even if they win. They're going to get shellacked by Cleveland.
How do you think the Heat will do in their series? Oh, ****, that's right...

That was.... embarassing

If Cs lose Game 7, this game will come to haunt them

Celtics are the No. 1 seed and yet, can't close a series on the road????

That's some bullsh***

IT made 2 big shots towards the end of the game.. but then turned the ball over with a minute to go and that came back to bite the Celtics. Regardless of that the Celtics were in a good position to win the game and it took a great shot by Wall for the Wizards to pull it off. What are ya going to do.. sometimes **** happens.

I expect the Celtics to win game 7, I hope they put them away early though.

With Home court Advantage if the Celtics can take Cleveland to game 6, I will call that a success. Getting to the Conference finals and getting a potential top 3 pick is pretty damn good if you ask me.

Game 7 is won by:

1: Thomas getting some open looks and dropping @30 points.
2: Continued strong defense against Wall - absorbing him as they have been doing to slow him down.
3: Stevens coming up with a 2nd scorer plan that the wizards have not game planned for... could be Jerebko or Green again.
4: Big Al coming up huge again in all 3 phases (Hat tip BB).

Marcus Smart have completely lost his Offensive confidence and the Wizards know it. Marcus does bring some good thinges to this Team but we are in the NBA Offensive era. I am just surprised how inept he is Offensively. Brad needs to cut Smart's minutes and split them with Rozier this Team needs more Offense. Smart's defender is going to automatically cheat off him knowing he's not even a threat for a lay up.

Lebron is going to completely undress this Celtics team.

And frankly I'm going to enjoy it because I love watching him play and IDGAF about the Celtics.

Never forget this in sports long layoffs can hurt a Team yeah we know they practice but there is no substitute for the real game. I am not against a young Team like the Celtics still playing that's good for them. The Cavs might not be so sharp for Game one after two straight sweeps.

Red Auerbach hand-picked Danny Ainge as his successor to run the Celtics. Thomas's sister died 4 weeks ago. You need to try harder.
Oooops! Days/weeks, right. Totally changes everything....Not.

So I am to understand that upon purchasing the team, the new owners consulted Red and he encouraged them to hire Ainge as the man in charge.

Just need to update my list, one minute...

Errors that Red Auerbach made in his professional lifetime:

1. Drafting Charlie Share over Bob Cousy
2. Letting Paul Silas go
3. Danny Ainge

I always liked Danny, even had his Blue Jays card. His trade from the Celtics was a completely stupid move, but it did allow him to make it back to the finals with the Blazers and Suns. His ignorant comments about how the big three were not traded later in their careers is the major red flag indicating he does not get it.

Had Danny run the Celtics in the sixties, we would have won maybe one title.

With Red we won nine.

Among a million other things, Red understood chemistry and unselfishness as crucial to winning, as well as the value of older veterans whose experience and knowledge vastly outweigh their losing a step physically.

After his King Midas stretch in '07 after the lottery, culminating in the title, all Ainge had to do was sign James Posey, to send the message to the players, their opponents, and the world, that Boston was serious about winning multiple consecutive championships. Other franchises do what they must to win: Lakers - keep Cooper; Bulls - sign Rodman; etc. etc. But of course, Danny fiddled and diddled and faster than you can say Satch Sanders, Posey was gone and I correctly stated, "That's it. There will be no more titles."

And downward it all went...House gone, Allen rumored to be trade bait a million times, and finally Perkins. Cue-crackling end of phonograph record.

This time, there would only be humiliation.

Here, this'll cheer you up:

I'm a Nets fan
Still looking for that first NBA title

Brad has cut down Smarts minutes, he has played less and less as the series has moved on. Although to my surprise he hasn't given all the minutes to Rozier, Jalen has gotten more minutes and has done well except for scoring. I do expect to see Rozier get minutes in game 7.

The Celtics are a strange team I have never seen a coach use so many different players and start different players ever.. There is no consistency to which Brad uses his players. But if he makes it to the conference finals you have to tip your hat to him.

The Celtics are a team that can beat Golden State and then lose to Brooklyn. As they mature as a team and these high draft choices come into there own, who knows how good this team could be.

The Cavs had a week off after a a rather ugly and tough sweep (if there is such a thing) against the Pacers and then proceeded to stomp the Raptors from the first minute.

OK, jackass. Let's start and finish here: Red Auerbach wanted nothing to do with Rick Pitino. In fact, Red was ousted from his president's position in favor of Little Ricky. So, if you didn't know that, your opinion on any of this doesn't count. See 'ya...

Would you rather watch the Wizards celebrate on garden floor, or watch LeBron James celebrate a sweep on Garden floor? One of those two things are happening...Unfortunately

danny ainge a mistake? i think not. excellent all-star player and an excellent GM.

The latter, no question about it. There isn't any real shame getting beat down by the best. The Wizards are not that good. It will be far more embarrassing to choke against the Wizards than to lose to LeBron.

Thanks, that's much better. So it was all Gaston. I never wanted anything to do with Pitino, either.

I choose the former, for two reasons: I despise the Lebron Rules James, and never want to see him despoil the Garden floor with a series-clinching victory; and also because maybe losing to the lousy Wiz will be the wake-up call that the HC, GM & ownership need to realze that this team, as currently constructed, is a million miles away from serious contention.

No...the second is impossible to happen buddy

basketball playoffs 101, and all of those peeps who responded to you apparently don't know much more either wth guys

obviously this is a football forum lol

ill take losing in the East finals to Cavs and defending champs over losing a game 7 to an undeserving wizards team
