Yup, I believe it. But I believe it only because The NFL will absolutely favor the larger market. They don't want to lose potential revenue. But it's just about the money. No loyalty or fandom, just money.

Same way the NFL sent Goodell to try and get Massachusetts to pitch in tax dollars to keep the Pats in Foxboro after Kraft already signed a contract to go to Hartford, CT. But the NFL wanted to keep the Patriots in Massachusetts. So they sorta kinda pulled strings (and side-stepped that aforementioned contract) and the NFL conveniently invented a new "loan program" to give Kraft money upfront to build Gillette Stadium in Foxboro. Not out of loyalty. It's just because Boston is the larger market with more money. All about the money.

The way Parcells handled his exit from Foxboro to the Jets, including the run up to the SB where he is negotiating his next contract with NY when he should have been focused on preparing his team, the sham of making BB the head coach for six days while saying his role would be as “consultant”, the poison pill offer that pilfered a future HOF running back from our roster, and the shenanigans around pretending not to have seen the fax from Kraft asking for permission to interview BB and then spitefully resigning as HC to try to stick it to Kraft, just made me realize what a slimeball this guy truly was. All time great coach. First class jerk.

Just imagine if Mr. Hess hadn’t passed and the ownership situation hadn’t been in flux during that transition. BB would likely have stayed and coached the NYJ and we’d have ended up with Dom Capers. Yikes!

Jets would have gotten Belichick as coach, but I doubt it would have resulted in the same success we have seen here. Parcells was the “gm”, shopping for the groceries, as he called it. Belichick wouldn’t have the complete control he needs to build the team properly....I can only imagine the hissy fit parcells would throw to get his draft picks whenever there was a disagreement.

I would make the argument that Parcell's as a GM was even better than Parcell as a coach. Willy Mac, Troy Brown, the 1995 draft that brought in Ty Law, Ted Johnson and Curtis Martin. And the 1996 draft with Bruschi, Milloy and Terry Glen. His drafts were solid.

Every day I wake up and thank the lord that Bill Parcells is NOT in the Patriot HOF. (OK not EVERY morning. ) Parcells has proven that he is a great builder of teams, but a horrible maintainer, which is a LOT harder and requires more skills. His moving on was predictable as he tried the same crap with the Giants and Cowboys.

I believe Parcell's greatest talent was recognizing his own nature and living his coaching life accordingly. That being said his actions during his last season were deplorable and unethical. His second greatest strength was his ability to give good pressers. The mediots love him, mostly because he made their jobs easier.

Thank God the fans of the Pats were smart enough to recognize that this mercenary, short-term, .500 coach, does NOT belong in the Pats HOF, because if it were up to the mediots, he'd have been inducted already

Parcells never won jack without BB on his hip. Also, Jets fans cry about Belichick being a traitor when he left. They cite the bonus Leon Hess gave him as the HC in waiting when Parcells stopped the BS and became the actual HC. Leon Hess was a respectable guy and was likely ashamed of how they made Belichick stand in front of the media and swear to the obvious sham the organization was trying to pull. That bonus was compensation for BB being made to play puppet for Parcells.
