And then there were three . . .

Houston: Gary Kubiak
Cleveland: Rob Chudzinski
Minnesota: Leslie Frazier

Washington should be firing Shanahan, but I have no sources to confirm it. Only speculation at this point.

Washington Post reporting Shanny and his staff are gone.

Schefter and Glazer now reporting the same. Buh bye Shanahan, scumbag.

Lions, Titans, Giants, Cowboys and Buccaneers will be ones to monitor as well. I don't think Coughlin will be fired though.

never understood all the hate on shanny. what did he do other than sucking?

Well, I live in D.C……people are blaming him for quite a lot of things….leaks, ruining RG3, blaming other people for his mistakes to make himself look better. The list goes on and on.

he probably ****ed up the career of rg3 by playing him with half a ruined knee in the playoffs.

Shanahan is in complete denial. In his post-firing press conference he kept talking about "we" in the present and future tense. He is not a part of the Redskins anymore. It was as if he was still fighting for his job. Amazing. The Redskins had a list of replacements six weeks ago.

NFLN is covering the firings of these coaches like it's the Kennedy assassination and funeral. Mike Martz is sitting ashen-faced in the center of the set reliving his demise from the Rams after spiralling into the mountain after losing the SB to the Patriots. They ought to queue up "Swing Low Sweet Chariot," hang black crepe bunting on the set and light eternal flames for all these coaches they've been ghoulishly predicting all week who would take the gas.

Rex is probably watching in bed at home licking champagne off his wife's exquisite toes.

Jim Schwartz meeting with the Lions brass now.

That might be an opening to really interest McDaniels.

It would be fun to sneak up behind Joe Philbin in Miami this morning and yell, "Booh!" to see how high he can jump off the ground.

you can't fix a brain-dead QB

Can you go into more detail? I'm very interested in this, thanks.

Shanahan's O-line in Denver was well known for it's borderline blocking tendencies. More than a few D-linemen suffered leg/knee injuries at the hands of Denver's O-line while Shanahan what their HC.

I'm sorry to keep posting on this thread, but watching NFLN on Black Monday is like being in a fun house at the Topsfield Fair.

Now they have Mike Tannenbaum answering questions from other fired GMs about what the Vikings and the Redskins and the Browns should do next. Tannenbaum's lips are moving but no ideas are coming out of his mouth. He'd be more helpful if he just shrugged his shoulders and said, "Why are you asking me?"
