I think we can all agree Bill Polian is just a sour, jealous old man.
Why he get so much respect and adulation in the media is beyond me. The guys on PTI talk about him like he's the greatest GM in the history of sports. I don't get it.

I dislike him more than Roger Goodell. Roger gets paid $20-$30 million to be the scumbag that he is. He's a puppet for the owners.
Polian is just an out right jerk.

Lawrence Taylor is in the Hall Of Fame. As long as that's (deservingly) so, off-field issues have no place in HOF voting.

Agreed. The issue is to what extent a player who caused a distraction/dissension in the locker room or on the practice field should lose points when being considered for the HOF. There is certainly no way for a fan or outside observer to quantify this, but it is reasonable to include it in the "is a player HOF worthy" discussion.
