Patriots coach Bill Belichick talks about the Patriots' loss to the Seahawks....

Do these mediot guys just go through the motions because they feel like they got paid to come be stenographers so I have to ask SOMETHING....

We know after a loss like this if you ask questions like that what you are going to get from BB. Sorry Ian, but chalk this up as the most pointless read of the week.

I got something out of it. The fact that he admitted that everyone made mistakes this week but he chose to minimize his and in a way finger point. In a perfect world you can get a passing play off in less than 6 seconds. But everyone knows what you're attempting and the odds of it succeeding are minimal. And with no time outs left (another mistake) there are too many variables that can bite you in the ass. They award points for FG's too, and that would have been a chip shot and the difference maker.

Coach better, select better (personnel), scheme better before you point out the penalty run off to me, buddy.

Somebody should have asked him why Vereen can play on ST coverage units but not as a RB in the regular offense when he's active and a back goes down.

Agreed. The focus on the Penalty runoff when the real issue, in that specific instance, was his decision making is, on the surface, disingenuous at best, but also uncharacteristic of BB, who usually takes his lumps before he dishes them out.

I didn't listen to the remarks live, but the transcript suggests that this is a man who is too angry to speak lest he say something he regrets and so he does the bare minimum to fulfill his contractual obligation to meet with the media and gets out of the room.

I'll be a lot more interested in what he says tomorrow.

It was more poor execution by Brady on that play. Throw it to the sidelines. I still don't understand why media can't push on the secondary issues. The most consistent issues for the last x years. That is just inexcusable.

He did say they need to coach better

Outcoached by Pete Carroll and awful management in AZ game leading to another loss which absolutely should have been a win. Not one of BB's finer seasons thus far

Seattle held opposing teams under 300 yards in all five games before today...the Pats put up 480+...obviously the Patriots sukk and were never in the game...

I wish someone in the Boston media had the guts to ask BB why, after 5 years, his secondary still sucks?

In a way, I'm kind of happy that the Patriots aren't facing a cupcake schedule. BB doesn't strike me as the type of person who balks at a challenge. If the Patriots don't enjoy a particularly successful season, the offseason could be rather interesting.

Yes, I look forward to/hope for major personnel changes and coaching staff changes, with no one safe, regardless of stature

I have to agree about Vereen.. Why wasn't he used.

Hell, what happened to the play-action pass late in the game. Why did they run so few screen plays?

The offense seems to be telegraphing what it's going to be doing. Ridley out there, run it. Ridley lined up wide. Pass it. Bolden in there. Run it. No RB... Pass play..

The only time the defense seemed to not know what to do was on the couple of screen plays the Pats ran, and then whenever Woodhead was in there.

They need to line up WIDE with Brady under center and actually pass it on occasion so they can open up the run that way. I've noticed that they tend to line up the receivers in CLOSE and it seems to telegraph a run.

I look forward to you being cut from this board for trolling.

Really, what team do you root for? It's obviously not New England.

I can't for the life of me work out why Woodhead wasn't used more often when he was clearly the hot hand against Seattle.

The Patriots have a tendency to get cute and try to reinvent the wheel.
