I was shocked to hear the news reports in the morning. I had known nothing about the process. (Explains his basic understandig, learned a lot more about this last couple of days

My personal coaching philosophy, my mentality has been to make thigns as fifficult as possible in practice, so inr egards to footballs any past or current player will tell you that any balls we use in practice are as basd as they can be. wet cold slippery. Any way we cna make them bad. I make them bad. If they complain I make them worse. WE never use the condition of the footballa s an excuse.

BB: We never use the condition of the balls as an excuse, play and kick with whatever we have to use. That's the way it is. I want the players to deal with as hard a situation in practice as in game.

BB: QBs, Kicker, specialists have preference on football. They know a lot more about it than I do, they get zero sympathy from me. Tom's personal preferences are something he can talk about. [ouch]

I think we all know that quarterbacks, kicker, have certain rpeferences. But I can tell you adn they will tell you that there is never any sympathy whatsoever from em on that subject. Zero. TOm's personal preferences are somethign eh can talk about in uch better detail

You get em, Bill!

Geez, is he throwing Tom under the bus? Can't be .,..

(Edit to Chico Walker, who "Disagreed": raised the question. Follow the whole thread. You had to be there when this was happening. Ot.hers came right and said BB was so I think I was a little more measured)

BB: In my whole coaching career, I can say I never talked to anybody about football air pressure. That is not a subject I have ever brought up. Footballs are approved pre-game, and we play with what's out there. That's the only way I have ever thought about it.

Obviously with oru footballs being inflated to the 12.5 lb range any deflation would take us udner the specification. In future we willc ertainly inflate above that low level to account for any possible change during the game.

BB: Any deflation would take us under specification. Knowing that now, in the future, we will certainly inflate the balls above the low level. (meaning - we go to low level, balls changed in game).

Me: Seems to be saying no one purposely deflated it, no?

BB throwing Tom way under the bus right now

BB coming in HOT! Love it, he had to get after this and defend himself and his team, he's kicking ass right now.

Damn! Bill isn't holding anything back this morning!

BB: I have no explanation for what happened. That's what they're looking into. Can't comment on what they're doing.

The NFL is investigating the situation, we have cooperated fully, compeltely with every request, continue to be cooperative. I have no explanation for what happened, and thats what they are looking into. I cant comment on what they are doing.

Not good. Judging from his words, the NFL has prepared the punishment already.

Me: Brady definitely going to have an interesting presser, BB is letting him take the heat on this one - and probably rightfully so. BB clearly doesn't give a shyt about this stuff and seems annoyed he has to deal with it.
