Honestly, I could tell that he didn't know on Monday when he was interviewed by the media and WEEI. He sounded like a guy who was trying to catch up to what everyone knows.

I think the striking thing there is that Belichick actually referred the issue to one of his players, basically. I don't think we ever see that. it's total role reversal (how many times have we heard players say "ask coach"?)
