Bill’s first offer…

Hypocritical? Nah. You know that and I know that. Inconsistency is normal, while rigid behavior is not. Proporting that people act the exact same way between two events with different circumstances is classic strawman, and in this case is quite weak.

But I get it Showtime... Petty feels good.
Different circumstances? How so?

They were both Patriots, then they weren't. Then they went to play/coach w/ another NFCS team.

In one, you said idc about him, no longer a Pat.

In the other, you say, stop being mean to him, even though he's no longer a Pat.

Seems pretty B&W to me.

As to Pork, no chance. I'm 100% supporting the team's moves and want them to succeed because I care more about my team, the Patriots, than individuals no longer on my team.

Wax posted in directly in the thread for everyone to see, and the reply was in public as well. Who's hiding?

YOU just don't know what he's talking about.

If I need to explain the differences between a still great quarterback and a 72 year old coach, I'm an literally speechless.

Bill has one offer and it's the Falcons. The narrative that the media fired Belichick and he has all these teams lining up to hire him is not proving to be true.
No ****. The Belichick ball washers were always a deluted bunch. Let him coach until he wants. He deserves it. He won 6 SBs. Wah, wah, wah. We can get a 1st RD for him. Lol

You ignored my post about the circumstances being discussed but since you bring up age.

Brady was said to be washed. He was done. No QB had won a SB in their 40s.

Belichick was said to still be the greatest coach. Age wasn't a factor. There's still people saying he can win a SB.

So even there, the circumstances support my view.

He should just retire. It’s going to get ugly in Atlanta.

I have that feeling too. Bill had a structure already built here where his past success afforded him a long rope. That won’t be the case down in Atlanta.

He needs to make significant changes in how he operates which I’m not confident he can do.

Dallas was maybe the one situation that would have worked well.

The other teams know this has been done for a long time.

Was just thinking about something.. 24-8 was Russell Wilson's numbers this season, 24-8 was Brady's numbers his last season here in 2019. If we had those numbers from the QB position we'd be in the playoffs right now!

Here's my thoughts. Mayo will be given all the opportunities to succeed. The organization has been embarrassed the last 2 seasons and image is everything to the Kraft family.

Mayo will grow into his HC role as he goes along, I like he speaks his mind and isn't a bill clone. The benefit is he's been a sponge to Bill on his football intelligence and how to run a staff.

We get the QB, we will win. We don't we will loose.
Be wary to the image/brand emphasis of the Krafts and how it could play out.

Curren and Mazz are out here ripping Mayo already for being foolish and naive for talking about draft strategy. Any signs of him simply being a young coach or not getting support are going to be magnified so it seems like Mayo doesn't know what he's doing. The Krafts are susceptible to this kind of thing.

Tbh I wasn’t massively active on the forum at the time but who the f said Brady was washed?

Did anyone really look at the weapons he was given and think yeah Brady is the issue, he’s just gone **** after 20 years of greatness? Holy ****.

I thought the majority felt we should’ve kept him (lord knows I wish we had), we had the chance to provide him some options at last, if they hadn’t fallen out they would’ve combined for another 4-5 years easily.

Personally I feel the same with Bill, in both cases we should’ve kept them and still be looking at that combo in 2024.

I didn't ignore it.

I deleted it.

Simple fact of the matter is there is a difference between Brady's departure and Belichicks dismissal. One is a player. One is a coach. It is a false equivalency you draw.

You didn't appreciate it when people took potshots at Brady when he left. Yet you do the same to BB.

And you called me a hypocrite?

I've got a little vengeful streak in me.
Don't judge me too harshly.

A majority of the fans here and 90% of the media.

The weapons were not the problem that year. The team tried to trade for a bunch of veterans, and of course the Harry pick. We traded for Brown, Thomas, Sanu and even Dorsett to add to Edelman who was still on the team. It went to pot.

But that wasn't even the major problem. 4 starting offensive linemen were injured. Andrews was gone for the year. Mason tore his MCL but played through it once he came back from injury. No left tackle, no right tackle. No center. And then out backup tackles both got injured. When Marshall Newhouse took over at LT (after being out of football), Brady started showing his frustration. So many free blitzes at him, he just started throwing the ball into the ground. I think the previous season (the Super Bowl winning season) had broken a lot of relationships around Foxboro. Contract troubles with Brady, Gronk injury and verge of retirement, players leaving after the SB win for bigger contracts elsewhere, Flores leaving for Miami, etc., and Brady going on to Ross's boat looking to become QB of the Dolphins.

There was a strong sense in 2019 that the end had come

What do you care. Bill's no longer a Patriot.

Are you supporting your HC Mayo?
asks the guy whose posts show he cares more than everybody else

Agreed, and what your saying is very important. I believe the last few seasons have really irked RK as he's used to winning and being on top. Mazz is a loud mouth goof, I like Curran as he's usual practical. Mayo of course isn't going to tip his hat on scheme, draft strategy, ect, ect. It was a day to celebrate him being named HC.. how as FA approaches and the draft comes I'd expect Mayo to be fully locked in and his staff in place.

So, you want to indulge your harsh vengence, but you don’t want us to be harsh towards you?

Got it, snowflake.

I was gonna include the OL as well which just further proves the point. I mean look at the 'weapons' you've listed:

Sanu - 2nd round pick for this fat ****? lolol
Harry - whatare you trying to suggest here, that we tried? I think he's one of the few things the forum can all agree on, utter garbage.
AB - how many games did he play again? How much did we get to use him with Tom before Bob pulled the trigger?
Dorsett - somehow the best of the lot but that's not saying much. Not a bad player, likeable but christ that's not enough to keep Tom around and win a SB.
Edelman- if anything he was the one on the wane. Can't remember if it was that season but mans hands turned to bricks.

Either way, the point is it was never on Brady and I'm surprised so many thought that. Media are sharks, they were just desperate for it to be true, they're not genuine they just throw **** at a wall n hope it sticks.
