Big Vince's Draft Party

Tickets Acquired!

This will be a first trip out of the country for most of these kids, some of whom haven't really even been to a place with more than a million people.

We're going to do a LOT of driving and visit Boston and Foxborough, too.

How much is it to get into Patriot's place? Is it open Friday nights?

(apologies if this is cluttering up the original intent of the thread).

I send him a reply and asked him to keep me posted on the event so I could post the info here. I have not heard back. I did invite him or a representative to either post updates here or to PM me and I would pass them along.

As far as Patriots place is concerned it cost nothing just to go there. The Hall is $10 per person, I think it's $7 for seniors and kids under 12. Check the on the official site for exact info.

My buddy is a Miami fan, but is coming along. Wes Welker joining the Pats almost brought this guy to tears. If Taylor joins by draft day... bwahaha! Gonna be awesome. I hope Vince will pose for pics, one being him strong-arming this Doofin fan, lol.

I hope I'll get to meet some of you there. Does Briz go to this stuff? I've got something for him, too... :cool2:

Two dropped passes? ;)

*wonders if JSn gets the reference*

Big Vince is on NEST now. He's advertising this event, so there must be tickets left.

I bought four. They haven't made it to my igloo yet, though... ;)

Looking forward to it. Man, I hope they don't draft an NT in round #1, hehe.

Ok, anyone else come across this little hiccup?

Reiss:

I don't know about anyone else, but I bought four tickets and am driving about seven hours to this event. It now looks like it ends before the Pats even pick...

Anyone heard otherwise?

No, but I'm wondering the same thing. My buddy and I are going for the first time and we're not sure what to expect. It's only a 15 minute ride for us, but if the first pick for us is after 6:00...?

Email from Vince:

The entire first round of the draft should be over by 6pm. The purpose of the event is to find out who the Pats pick first so no need to worry you will not miss it. Hope to see you there.

Email from Vince:

ESPN and the NFL decided last year to push the date up. It always started at noon and went though the 3rd round. I think last year it started at 3 and this year at 4 and only goes to the 2d round.

So his draft party has not changed. Its' more of a fund raiser anyway and I'm sure there is very little attention to the draft even when it was on at noon.

32 teams @ 10 mins each- you do the math.
