It'll be hard topping or competing with the last two classes but this one is really good. Not quite as top heavy but looks to have plenty of quality throughout the top 100-125.

Treylon Burks aka AK Browncalf. Different dude. 6'3/230 Burks has height, weight & 10+ hands that need 4-5XL gloves. If you've never seen him catch punts, check him out lol. He catches it above his head lol. He's stopped that but this kid is all bully, beat you up, no breaks. Takes a step or two to get going but he gathers up steam real quick. Bounces off defenders, decent stiff arm & can make someone miss.
He really understands how to attack leverage, separate and win deep. Eats up yards. Creates a pretty good stem to set himself up quite nicely. Decent tracker. Has np going up and making a play. He's made several fantastic and tough catches.
He's versatile. You can use him slot, wide, backfield, returns.
Big-time blocker with lots of attitude!
Catches with his hands, fights for yards. + body control. He's not stiff, smooth 6'3/225+

Burks chose Arkansas over several big schools. Isn't looking for attention. Hunts, fishes is spare time. Brings himself, a knife and goes after wild hogs the old fashioned way.

I see a cross between Kenny Britt & Hakeem Nicks but I feel like he's DK-lite too just not as fast.

I’d probably slot Pickens over Burks right now, but I can’t deny the appeal. He’s a prototype X. Good to see you have Copeland in your top tier. Hoping for big things out of him this season.

I agree on talent alone. Problem is he's like his father in more ways than one. Talented but quite the headcase. Suspended and thrown out of games. Dumb penalties. Getting into with people behind the scenes all throughout the recruiting process. Saban and others stopped looking at him. I have no idea how he really is but it doesn't seem like he's a goofball. A little more serious but hopefully he's getting his impulsive nature behind him.

I like Copeland a lot. He's another interesting case. From Gainesville area, involved in gangs and a lot of other ****. His mother wanted him out of there, many thought he was headed to Bama. Then he switched up or never intended to go there and choose Florida. He could be a good one if he keeps his head on straight.

Metchie seemed to mesh really well with qb Jones this past season at Alabama. I would not mind seeing metchie join jones in New England next season.

How annoying is it going to be hearing Harry's name brought up any time we're talking about a prospect like Burks? These guys are tough to predict but they translate and are useful. We need an alpha in that group. We also need a real quick slot option.

I like Dotson a lot for us and we can land him day 2/3. Don't think he'll test well, doesn't have outstanding measurables.

Release is nice but lack of strength makes it tough to work outside next level. Does use his hands but could improve. Efficient steps and movements, patience and spacial awareness wins him a lot of reps. Combined with his size I think we'll likely see him in the slot next level.

Impressed with how he understands and operates in space. MOF/reading leverage, space on sidelines

Might be slot only next level but he can touch and threaten all parts of the field with play speed, r/r, awareness and hands. Not the greatest radius, smaller arms I think but he can make it happen when things aren't perfect.

Return man/natural yac

Has shown he can make big plays in different ways. 17+ per rec two years in a row. Stepped up when given the chance.

I've seen him run everything - flat, sidelines, MOF, deep. + Slant, Go, Out, Corner/Post but makes everything look good. Very comfortable running from slot.

Love his ability to sink, accelerate and take off. Not twitched up but good enough athleticism with clean movements.

Reliable hands when it's clean and making adjustments.

Isn't getting any bigger and probably not much stronger. Obviously strength can increase but you get the point, he is what he is from that standpoint. Again looks like slot only but can beat you deep.

Willing blocker but limited bc of size. Definitely has to get stronger.

Could add a little variety to release package.

if you had to choose between the top WR for our first pick...let's assume Burks, Wilson, Olave who would you prefer and why?
For me personally i think altough they are different type of WR, I would love to get one for Jones. I wouldn't care a bigger WR like Burks or a terrific route runner with Wilson/Olave. I'd probably go with Burks since i do not think Harry has a long term future here and a bigger WR is then missing, which would give us versality match ups. I mean Smith Henry Burks Agholor Meyers Bourne could be an interesting corp of weapons.

Rn it would be close but id lean Burks, Olave, Wilson, GP. Bell and London very close too. We have a few decent r/r, we need guys that can make it happen with the ball in their hands imo.

Just to bring a little ND insight again, I think Avery Davis will put up good combine/pro day numbers and could be a nice Swiss army knife pick in the later rounds. Will probably run in the 4.53-4.56 range, great at navigating traffic, decent YAC ability. Still pretty raw in a lot of ways, came in as a QB, moved to RB, then CB, then back to WR. Slot type but not a squirrel. Sometimes needs to be schemed open, not great coming off press but can bob and weave to get that extra couple feet of separation on seam routes. Can be productive on reverses, average on screens but he does have a little bit of explosiveness if it's blocked up. WR3 upside but one of those guys whose value might not be reflected in stats.

Kevin Austin Jr. is a physical specimen. Dude's 6'2", 220 and cut from granite. Unfortunately, he just doesn't play the way he looks. Average speed, pretty good overall athleticism, very good at making contested catches. He's strong at the LOS and can get off press coverage, but his acceleration after beating coverage is a problem, leading to DBs closing from behind too often. Average length, very good body control and he's great at boxing out DBs. He won't jump 40 inches or anything, but he has a good feel for timing and strong - though inconsistent - hands and some burst if a guy isn't hanging all over him. Not a threat over the top against NFL speed, but tracks the ball extremely well, can make the over the shoulder catch on throws dropped in the bucket and he's very good ok back shoulder throws. Not much YAC ability, but big and strong enough to break tackles. Priority UDFA in my opinion, though he might stay another year. He's been productive and could have even better numbers if ND QBs hadn't missed him on multiple deep shots.

Braden Lenzy is an enigma. He's spent a lot of his college career trying to run by everyone. He was and still is a track star playing football. The problem is, he's not *that* fast. He's probably a 4.42 or so guy. Plenty of speed to get separation over the top, but not enough development in the details of playing the position, such as route running, footwork and hand usage. Forget beating press coverage right now. He just doesn't have the skills or size to do that in the NFL right now. He *has* improved slightly there, but he still just won't be able to do it at this level. He's lucky if he's 185 lbs and at 5'10", 195 is probably his max weight. That's not too small to play in the NFL in general, but he lacks the short area quickness (or at least hasn't used it to this point), plays hard but can be knocked over by a stiff breeze sometimes. He's shown very little feel for the back shoulder throw. He has shown some high point ability though. He's just so slight and short, though. As you can tell, I'm not high on him. Love him as an ND kid but he really needs to stay another year. Not even close to ready and once you get past the decent speed, you see a guy that just isn't that great of a football player or receiver right now. Hopefully he does stay and develops more, as his production is very subpar as well. He has little YAC ability, though he can really cut the edge on reverses if it's not telegraphed. Also has shaky hands. If he comes out I think he's a mid-tier UDFA honestly, but some team might use a late pick because he has decent speed.

I also will say that Austin is probably the biggest wild card. He's shown some flashes this year, but consistency has been a problem. Please NO MORE underproductive "Project" Wide Receivers from no name schools. I want us to start drafting high productive college WR's from conferences like the SEC.

Also traits like Speed and Separation need to be bumped up to highest priority when evaluating college WRs.

I’d love olave reminds me of Calvin Ridley when he came out. Smooth in and out of breaks and just gets open.

Justyn Ross if his medical checks out okay could be a steal depending where he goes. I’d happily take a 4th rounder on him or something along those lines.

Another guy I love is John Metchie. Has some of the nicest routes going in the draft and also seems to have a great understanding with Mac Jones.

Does he have the route running and the ability to beat press. He has the ideal size and speed you’d want for any of the receivers positions but the ability for him to beat press and run routes is my biggest worry.


One guy going under the radar in my opinion is Romeo Doubs, plays for Nevada. Soild hands but a bit like Burks it’s the ability to beat press man that’s my biggest concern.

I have been following Calvin Austin of Memphis. A former track star that has scored a TD in just about every game ive watched. I havent seen much hype on him. Would be a great get as a mid rounder IMO.

Reminds me of your rondale Moore type of guy every time he touches the ball he could go for 6. My only real problem or worry if you will is his size he’s 5”9 and 162lbs he’s very light and might not hold up, if he could add another 20lbs or so he would be more higher on my list but it’s just the weight issue for me and I’m not sure how he would cope. He’s definitely electric though whenever he gets the ball in his hands. Great prospect to watch though.
