BGC 2021 Rush/PTP Thread

I'll use this thread to talk about and breakdown potential pass rushers/PTP.
One thing that immediately stood out was the number of prospects that could potentially make the transition off-the ball in an defense like ours and other multiple systems. Lots of those types that won't quite make full time on the edge but maybe can make the switch to a Sam/Leo, Mike. I'm talking small chance but I could see it with a few prospects.
Definitely love some of the top guys. Basham, Paye, Ossai, Oweh and a few others are supposedly freaks so expect a big jump from some of these guys. Lots of raw talent and potential. Lots of potential chess piece-type versatility but all of these guys need a/another solid year on film before 1st or 2nd round talk is warranted imo.
Development, consistency and finish.

Quincy Roche & DeAngelo Malone look like two others who might be better-suited for more off-the-line duties if their weights continue in the 230s...Well done for not holding Quinton Coples in as high a regard as the J-E-T-E did back in 2012...And another tip o' the cap for seeing the upside of Yannick Ngakoue in 2016 when others didn't, including me (I would've chosen Shilique Calhoun ahead of him there although I was still concerned over Calhoun's 10- & 40-yard times, which of course have been borne-out)

Really good at creating initial contact and work it off that. Quick hands, sudden movements, and really good placement with his paws. Pretty decent technique

Yea I've learned and been burned too much. I'm thinking a few of these guys have what it takes to move. Rumph looks small tho, esp lower half. I'll be looking for pics of him and checking him out on TV. Hopefully he filled out a bit. Very fun tho.

Same role but Paye is so much more twitched up than TC. Just never got the love for Taco. Paye is just a lot quicker in everything he does. His hand placement could improve but he's got some juice and pop when he touches you.

I really like Hutchinson. He bull rushed the right Tackle from Minnesota last night short before the second Quarter was over. This was fun to watch. He would be great here for 5 tech. I did think that he hold his ground really well in run downs last night. Paye is also very interesting. I can see BB like those guys

Sanders and the PSU kids have great cornering skills. Really efficient, tight path to the QB. Paye too. This rush class isn't top heavy but has a lot of good options day 2-3. Great options in fact. Moon from Florida will play some type od LB/OLB but he's another one with very impressive flexibility/bend and cornering skills. He's small. Has to put on real weigh imo but flashes at times. Again some Really good options day 2-3.

Defensive end is one of the weakest positions on our team!

looking at the draft, I see a couple of guys that can help us.

1.) weaver from Pittsburgh. His shower really well against Clemson.

2.) Jones from Pittsburgh. The funky four point stance may not work with bb, but he could work for us.

3.) smith of uab. Tons of length and some ability to boot.

4.) paye of Michigan. Had a whale of a season and bb seems to like Michigan ends.
