The young Patriots wide receivers continue to show off their optimism for their 2020 sophomore season.

A few days after reports that N’Keal Harry was working with the “Footwork King” this offseason, fellow second year wideout Jakobi Meyers also shared some positive updates over social media.

“Year 2 coming soon…..hopefully lol”, Meyers wrote in a caption accompanying a photo of himself and Harry.

The undrafted free agent out of NC State had a relatively quiet rookie season, catching just 26 passes for 359 yards and no touchdowns, while seemingly struggling to get on the same page with Tom Brady.

Despite the difficulties, Brady replied to Meyer’s Instagram post with some words of encouragement as they part ways.

The Patriots drafted no wide receivers in the 2020 draft providing Meyers with another opportunity to make a push up the depth chart.

As it stands the Patriots have 12 wide receivers on the roster.

The team signed two additional undrafted free agent wideouts on Tuesday, Will Hastings of Auburn and Sean Riley of Syracuse.

In the meantime, another day closer to the new generation Patriots offense.
