Many pundits were saying that the Patriots were the #1 contender to sign the "Red Rifle"...

Really glad that BB did not react to their suggestion(not that he ever would), have never liked Dalton and probably never will...

BB does not get attracted to shiny beads..

Either the Jags were never really interested or it says something about Dalton that he'd rather be the clear -- and comfortable -- backup behind Prescott instead of pushing Minshew for a starting job.

At least Winston has a plan to build up his value and Mariota signed somewhere he has a shot to push for that starting job. Dalton just gave up.

Yeah, glad this whole storyline is put to rest...one of the more absurd ideas out there.

Proof that Jerruh has gone senile.
Or as postulated by PFT, it gives the Cowboys leverage w Prescott If he doesn't want to sign for their offer, they could pull the franchise tag and make him a FA. They'd lose him but what team could sign him now for the $$ he wants...???

That’s a lot for a backup for a non injury prone QB, damn.

JJ want him to be a jason garret look a like

Where does Scam Newton end up now?

Probably nowhere until he can travel and be cleared physically. He's coming off a season-ending lower body injury, team physicians will need to take a look.

Yup, this. And $7m is what Tannehill got last year and Mariota this year on a 1 year deal, seems to be more or less the going rate for capable backups on 1 year deals. Winston probably would have gotten something similar but took less for the opportunity to be heir apparent in New Orleans and pick up a new contract next year.

In 11 wins. ELEVEN the defense allowed 13 points or less in every single one of them. Over the total 11 they allowed 5 TD and 6 FGs. COMBINED. They allowed a total of 65 points.
Those are 11 wins that happen even with a below average QB.
In the 12 th win they allowed 17.

please show your breakdown of how this was a bad team carried by their QB.

Facts....only shiny trophies.

Based on Miguel’s cap figure, we’re either about to sign somebody really really bad or really really good!
